This hotel is convenient and great for the price. It is clean, comfortable and affordable. Service was excellent, despite the fact that the desk and kitchen staff consisted of only two younger ladies. The staff even 'rushed' our dinner order so we could make the Nightwatchman's Tour. The apartment for up to 6 was spacious and perfect for a night or two in Rothenberg. - Graham

We have stayed in Hotel Am Siebersturm twice now, the latest trip Sept 09. In July 2008 we stayed in the hotel by chance, this year we went out of our way to visit Rothenburg ob der Tauber and stay in this hotel specifically because we fell in love with it. The location is perfect - in the middle of the city and just a short walk from every attraction in the town. I would heartily reccomend this beautiful hotel in a historic building mentioned on the city horse drawn tour. We booked last minute (Friday morning for Friday night arrival) - hotel staff were friendly and helpful from the start even reccomending a lovely italian restaurant where we could find food after our late arrival! Our garage price was reduced due to a stay longer than one night and breakfast was yummy each morning! your room key opens the main door should you be out past ten pm an - Harvey

We absolutely loved this hotel. Rothenburg itself was a stunning little town, and this hotel was perfectly located. We had quite a large room at the back of the hotel, overlooking the valley. The room itself was fairly reasonably priced, and we were very surprised at how nice it was. One of the largest we stayed in all through Europe, and decorated in an old style that we found really stunning. This was reflected all throughout the hotel, which had quite a grand old look to it. This cute hotel is located above one of Rothenburg's many cafes. They location is terrific, although pretty much anywhere inside the city walls would be great. It is about a 2 block walk to the town square. WiFi was included, which was suprising, and nice since the internet cafe found in the entry way was rather pricey. This is a very historic medieval town with great character. The owner of the hotel could have been more welcoming, but the rest of the staff seemed very friendly and hospitable. - Simon

I can't say enough positive things about this hotel. It is by far the most magnificent hotel I have ever stayed in and I can't wait to return. I traveled with seven other friends and although we had hoped to arrive in daylight hours, we unfortunately arrived in the early evening. We were pleasantly surprised to find the owner (I think) sitting inside as we pulled up and he came out to greet us. He directed us to park right in front of the hotel and even helped us with our baggage before checking - Fiona

The Goldenes Lamm is in my opinion the best located hotel in Rothenburg. It faces the central square and has lovely tables outside where you can eat and drink great German beer. The rooms were clean and standard. Ours was actually rather large for Europe. While in RODT be sure to join the Knight Watchman's Tour, drink beer at the bar, Hell, see the puppet show opera and check out the Crime & Punishment and town museums. This hotel and town are exactly what comes to your imagination you think of when you think of Olde Germany. The hotel is right in the middle of town surrounded by bakeries and sidewalk cafes. The hotel staff is friendly and efficient and the owners are on hand for any questions. The rooms are very clean and have alot of character. 4 poster beds with canopies. We loved this family run hotel. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Our room was large and met my needs for a large bathroom and shower area. The room and hotel was clean and decorated for Christmas. Hotel Gerberhaus is located perfectly within walking distance of town center. The German style breakfast was good. Heidi worked mornings at breakfast and we never lacked anything. Beautiful hotel! I went with a big group of friends while backpacking Europe for our high school graduation. We stayed in a BIG room of the hotel, which technically is not a room, but a HOUSE inside the hotel! It's hard to describe, but it was more than incredible. Chimney, sitting area, various beds throught, a second floor with another lovely bedroom, etc. TONS of space it was surreal. The best I have EVER seen in all Europe.
