An extremely positive experience. Courteous and efficient staff, very good service all round, excellent breakfast and dinner, well-equipped gym and a good-sized indoor pool. With the added bonus of being within walking distance (literally a stone's throw away) from the city centre. EVERYTHING......Staff were very friendly, swimming pool great for thekids, kettle in the room, breakfast was excellent and especially thefact that the television has sky news, bbc and itv - so no missing outon Coronation Street or x Factor...!!!.

Thelocation was good.In this day and age it is rather incomprehensible why some hotels (especially of this standard) persist in demanding a charge for wifi access in rooms, and only offer free wifi in the common areas. This said, the wifi in the common areas (reception, restaurants) worked well. The only negative point I have is not in the hotel itself, but the factthat it is not well signposted once you get into Bonn city centre if youare driving there.NOTHING!!!!!!!. Nothing!....one of the very best hotels i have stayed at!. the fact of the breakfast was €22 euro, even if only eat one croissant and a glass of juice, they should make allowance for this. The proce was a little high but this may reflect the fact that the hotel was full.Breakfast is way too expensive. If you walk into town you can have a great breakfast for only € 6,00 per person. The daily fee for parking your car is quite expensive as well. The prices of the minibar are rediculous. Though touted as a 5-star hotel, I'd put it at a 4-star. The beds weren't comfortable and even being upgraded to a better room still had us in one that was rather small for a 5-star. The pet fee is outrageous and parking is 17€ though I think the website said 15€. Location is ok but you have to go out of your way to find crosswalks to get across the street to walk around the walkplatz.Upon arrival they overcharged me 103euro more than the reservation!Since it was fully prepaid it wasn't ok at all 2. they gave me a room onthe last floor which was very cold and it seemed like the heater wasn'tjust enough to warm up the entire room, I had to ask to change the room(after a ride of 12 hours to Germany).very expensive internetconnection! Very expensive breakfast (22Euro).

Information about the area

The Hilton Hotel is located city center directly at the rhine River. You have only 300 meters to the boat station of the Köln-Düsseldorfer for excursions to Königswinter, Koblenz or Cologne. In the west, only 30 minutes by car you can visit the famous Wine valley Ahrtal, called Redwine paradise. In the north you have only 25 km to Cologne.

Travelling information

From the Cologne-Bonn airport you have 25 km to Bonn. An airport bus is driving all 20 minutes from the airport to Bonn train station. From the Bonn train station you have 15 minutes by feet or 5 minutes by taxi or bus ( station Bertha von Suttner Platz ). By car you leave the highway A59 at Bonn-Beuel. From there you take the direction Bonn-City Center. You reach the Hilton Bonn after 10 minutes behind the Kennedy bridge.
