We were 3 adult friends spending a weekend in Berlin together. The apartment was great for us. The interior was well planned out and the location was perfect for us- only 4 minutes to the efficient underground for access to all areas of Berlin. Yvonne was absolutely brilliant. She was friendly and very very helpful. She gave us information about things to do whilst we were there (we only had 3 days) and we went to 90% of her recommendations (due to time constraints) and were so pleased we did! .
all reviews » This is our home in Berlin. Very nice staff, nice comfy room and a small kirchenette. Good supermarkets a few hundred meters from the hotel. Ubahn and bus within 6 min walking. 20minuteswalk to Tresor Club or in an other direction Wild at Heart for some Rock. If you want to walk to Brandenburger Tor its about 30 min. The kebap at Princenstrasse ubahn is super!!. The staff were really friendly, they'll even pick you up and drop you off at the airport for a relatively small fee. The locations excellent, Kreuzburg's a really cool area to walk around and you're only a few minutes to the underground, or about 15 - 20 mins walk to the old East Berlin city centre. We'd be happy to come stay again on a longer break. It was close to an U-Bahn stop which made it easy to get there from the train station and to get to anywhere we wanted to go. It was in a good area for walking around. We received a good map and directions fromYvonne upon our arrival. It was warm (it was wintertime) in the apartment, and very spacious. We loved our IMA loft apartment. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Yvonne was fabulous, provide great insight as to where to go in the area. This was our first trip to Berlin and we felt moe like locals than tourist, had a wonderful time!!. I traveled with a group of art students. We all loved the place. Absolutly super. Nice roomy lofts, very central. Super nice people working there. Clean rooms, very quiet at night. Cafe in the building. The building is also a center for creative businesses. Amazing location in Kreuzberg in former factory. Great to be living in an artistic space in a working and living creative centre . Great being in a loft appartment and feeling part of the city!. Comfortable, clean, quiet and spacious. Good internet connection. Good neighbourhood and nearby to metro. Great value stay and I will stay here again on my next visit to Berlin. The character of these converted buildings - the courtyard with the coffee shop. Huge room with big windows. Having my own kitchen with equipment included. Good location between three U-bahn stations, more or less reasonable price, equipped with everything to cook (cooker, toaster, pan, plates etc), transfer from/to airport (for reasonable extra 35e). 5 min. walk till nearest metro station, modern and big room, free parking in the yard. Unfortunately when we checked in we had to wait for the apartment to be cleaned. we said we would go out for a few hours but when we returned it still had not been done so we were a bit disappointed. A lot of the lights in the apartment were not working! That's it though. The sleep loft can be a bit warm in the summer. Not so much a dis-like, just worth being aware that it the complex also includes a lot of businesses, some of which can be a bit noisy first thing in the morning. It wasn't a hassle for us and wouldn't stop us coming back, it's just something that's worth being aware of. Couldn't really figure out how to work the microwave! To heat water we put the mug on for 30 seconds, five times! Not really light and bright, even with all the lights on. Hardly things worth complaining about! Our stay was great. Reception isn't manned all the time so plan your arrival time in advance. We had to wait a little when we arrived but fortunately the coffee shop right there was fabulous and very friendly. The fridge in my room was a bit warm. It can be warm in the sleep oft but there is a fan in the room so it was not a problem. A little difficult to find when you first arrive. The building is easy enough to locate, however, finding reception is hard if there is no one around to ask for directions. Shower was not so clean. Rug on floor needed replacing. No teabags/ coffee granules in the room. Lack of reliable Wi-Fi (getting fixed) No air conditioning (windows open wide). Not too clean and somewhat smelly. Maintenance (light bulbs, toilet flush,...) could use some more attention. Workmen on building started early Fridge didn't work. Limited cooking facilities, uncomfortable mattresses, very low roof in mini loft which may have been mentioned on the website but I don't remember this being so, noisy - construction going on all around starting at 7am, smelly and slow draining shower and kitchen sink drains. I realise the building is old. The elevator was broken but didn't ruin our experience for sure. Lift was out of service so we had to go up to 5th floor which is very tiring. Lift not working.total pain in the ass. a. No cleaning for 5 days, b. it was quite noisy - the appartments situated on the 5th floor of the building of IMA design vilage with a patio inside. As the windows of the part of appartments face into the patio where acoustics amplify any sound many times it is almost impossible to sleep when the people from nearby design offices and shops party all night. c. mattress was awfull d. no air condition. Must have phone to arrange check in time as staff is usually absent. We were moved to second floor because the lift was out of order, clearly not a loft. No CD player and a tv from the last century. Woken at 8am Saturday morning by somebody using a drill outside our window. - Elevator was broken down - Weird smell in the apartment - Noise in the hallway and on the roof before 7 am from builders, whole site is under construction - Gives the impression of a design apartment, but all furniture is pretty shabby.
