  This is the second time that we have had the pleasure of staying at the Chateau de l'Abbaye. The Renard family was as welcoming and gracious as ever; showing us to our room, pointing out the features of the room, offering to carry our suitcase.   Used the Martinet as an overnight stop on our cycle touring holiday. Bouin is a quiet village with an interesting church and the Martinet is the perfect place to relax. Run by a very pleasant couple you feel that without being intrusive, nothing would be too much trouble for them to help make your stay a very comfortable experience. Host made an upgrade for free and spacey room was beautiful: large bed and windows faced with court on one side and old church on the other. Perfect for the medieval village fun.   Staff were very helpful. Location is very good for town and beech. - the two women that own the hotel were excellent, especially the one living next door. She was helpful, caring and understanding. The petit dejeuner was very nice each morning. Quite adequate and good value.

  The Vigie Vacancies has an excellent setting being a stones throw from the beach and lighthouse. We had booked a 2 bedroomed cottage, which is part of a small development arranged around a pleasant courtyard. The cottage was clean, bright and very well equipped and could not be faulted. We were also able to park on site with no problem. I had some... what people say » reservation about walking distance to the main part of town, however as there are 2 water taxis operating day and night a short walk away, costing 1 - We have never encountered this sort of accommodation before (a pull down bed from the wall) but it proved basic but acceptable and we were able to keep our bicycles inside the glass vestibule. The owner lent us a kettle and a toaster.

Cooking facilities were practical and functional and perfectly adequate for good quality holiday accommodation. A decent swimming pool and loungers for those odd moments of peace. We would highly recommend Residenc - The cleanliness of the studio was superb. Having a seperate bedroom with comfy beds was a bonus. The kitchen was well stocked with every utensil, the sofa bed was extremely comfy. The location for both the beach, the port and the supermarket is ideal
