  Used the Martinet as an overnight stop on our cycle touring holiday. Bouin is a quiet village with an interesting church and the Martinet is the perfect place to relax. Run by a very pleasant couple you feel that without being intrusive, nothing would be too much trouble for them to help make your stay a very comfortable experience. Host made an upgrade for free and spacey room was beautiful: large bed and windows faced with court on one side and old church on the other. Perfect for the medieval village fun. The facilities are very smart and the food is exceptional with the freshest of fish and a wine list of well known wines as well as a very good selection from the Loire and Vendee. And they accept a dog, with the benefit of excellent walking facilities for the dog (and us!) right outside the door. Would definitely go again.

  hassle free sit on balcony weather permitting use of pool etc,we did,nt mind walk along beach to sea front 20 mins but some might - every thing was very good. The pool and gym etc excellent. Staff helpful and welcoming. Will stay here again.

The food is not bad and the staff are very helpfull. - We stayed in this hotel at either end of our holiday. The staff were very friendly and helpful although useful to have a member of the family that speaks French.   Staff were very helpful. Location is very good for town and beech. - the two women that own the hotel were excellent, especially the one living next door. She was helpful, caring and understanding. The petit dejeuner was very nice each morning. Quite adequate and good value.
