It was a wonderful and charming little hotel converted from an old girls school. The young couple there in the day spoke good English and were very helpful, and the woman around in the morning was very charming and helpful despite not speaking English. Breakfast was in the courtyard on a sunny morning. The room was charming and had wooden beams. A real fantastic place where we spent one night, centrally located next to the marina and an abundance of restaurants.

This was a great B&B. Ryes is a very small country town in Normandy but it is central to all the D-Day sights (most are within 1 hour drive) and you can go to a nearby town on Gold Beach for great restaurants by the sea. The owner is very friendly and the rooms are well appointed.

The owners were welcoming. The lounge area had many books and brochures, as well as wifi. Good breakfast - we were offered delicious scrambled eggs from the resident hens. Twin room suited us (mother & adult son). Situated where we wanted to be, but also easily reachable from the Caen ferry so could be a useful overnight stop before heading south.

We loved the location of the hotel which is in the country side but two minutes from the little town. The owners have a restaurant on site and make the most delicious meals with a varied menu. The owners are a charming couple who are ready to help you with suggestions of nearby sites. Honfleur is 15 minutes away and the most charming town not to be missed.
