  Convenient location, the room was small and very welcoming, we were up on the 5th floor, and I did not mind the walk up..felt it was good for me, and after all it was Paris...and this little hotel felt like 'old Paris" a lovely feeling...The view was great, several Metro stops near by, and wonderful opportunities to walk to many sights.   I fortunately stayed for 4 nights in large, clean and well equipped double room with also large and clean bathroom with bathtub that was provided by helpfull and friendly hotel receptionists who speak English very well.   I liked the area a lot, since it was an urban residential area. I had awonderful dinner for a low price at a nearby restaurant, and most peoplewalking by waved at the owners. - easy to find, small room but clean, tasty breakfast..no problems at all..I would recomend Villa Van Gogh

The room was actually not that small by European hotel standards; there was room for the bed and several feet of floor space. Its right around the corner from the metro (Jacques Bonsergent).
