  We are in our early fifties (still 18 in mind) On paper/screen, this hotel ticked all of our boxes, situated a stones throw from the metro it combines the ease of access to the Parisian must sees but still seeing the real city in all its glory. The hotel and all staff were all A*. We are not hotel inspectors but could not fault a thing. We, like m... what people say » ost, look up the hotel/area etc on trip advisor prior to booking, but always with a very open mind. Like films, all very personal and others opinions - The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had accidentally booked our bus ticket for the wrong day and didn't find out until the day of and the friendly Receptionist helped us contact the agency to rectify the issue. Thank goodness! The location was close to Gare du Nord and easy to find. The metro is a block away and very convenient (just be mindful of pickpockets when you are entering the metro, anywhere in Paris, as a matter of fact). This Best Western is also located 10 minutes away

  The night porter (Samuel) was particularly helpful, on our arrival at 11pm he very kindly gave us advice on where to eat and what to visit during our stay. Although we didn't initially book the breakfast we did have it during our stay as it was fabulous. The whole place was clean and well laid out. Tea, xpresso coffee, propper juices, soft drinks and patisseries were available self serve from mid morning to late at night which is an excellent idea and worked very well for us.

We were upgraded on arrival to a gorgeous suite with a private sun terrace on the fourth floor, with a playstation and so many amenities. The gym was great as well, with lots of equipment.   One of the most enjoyable experiences in a hotel from a well-traveled couple. From arrival to departure, the staff was extraordinarily helpful and most unusual of all, seemed to enjoy being of assistance, no matter the triviality or the importance of the request. The rooms were beautifully designed [I'm a demanding architect] and kept immaculate by the energetic staff. Breakfast was 'icing - As soon as we entered the hotel, an inviting scent welcomed us. We knew at that instant that out stay was going to be pleasant. We liked the design details of the hotel. Every small detail was well thought-of. It looks as nice as in the pictures! Service was quite good as well. They provided for everything we needed: adaptors for chargers, room service, maps and directions for where we wanted to go to, and taxi service.
