As a backpacker, staying at the pvi was a luxury, but all things
considered, this hotel was very inexpensive for the regular traveler,
and to be honest, they could charge a lot more and get away with it. The
staff was absolutely fantastic, friendly, efficient, genuinely helpful.
The breakfast was not of my liking, as it was too greasy, with cold
fries/chips, but a typical Egypian meal- not necessarily bad. But
what this hotel extra special is the view. Without any doubt, they have

It's a huge hotel with many restaurants. But it is beautiful. I had a lovely room, big enough to hold a dance in, and the bathroom was a dream. I stayed in the Towers extension and would highly recommend it. The half board package was great. I loved this hotel!!! The staff was awesome and I'd highly recommend booking your tours through the hotel. My tour guide was Mina and my driver was Ahmad. Mina is very knowledgable and Ahmad was a SUPERB driver!!! 5 STARS ALL THE WAY AROUND. Mahmoud (gold room/floor concierge) helped booked the tour and he too made my stay GREAT! I will recommend this hotel to all my family and friends. When I return to Cairo I will definitely be staying here!

We arrived by train and the Hotel then free of charge allowed us to take a taxi at their expense to the Cairo Airport. probably the best location possible in cairo, right on the nile (just a couple of blocks away from tahrir square and the egyptian museum). i felt safe in the hotel..despite the revolution going on (with guns and tanks and protestors) just a couple of blocks away. :) the hotel security was good (with extra guards and metal detectors at the front entrance). also, the roof-top pool was very nice and welcoming.
