I agree with another reviewer. I could very easily make this resort my second home. I plan to return and return. I stayed there 5 nights. Location and View: Spectacular. Unique. Service: Very friendly and professional at every level - boatmen, front desk, housekeeping, pool and all managers. Management is very visible and available. Rooms: Yes getting dated, but 1/3 of the hotel is now under renovation. Large marble bathroom and everything worked. Food: How can I expect gourmet when - Philip

We were on a Gecko's tour and this hotel wasn't actually the one listed so it was a bit of a surprise when we ended up there! The hotel at the time was brand new, just opened so there was work going on to the final touches and there wasn't a full compliment of staff in the restaurant. However, our stay was fantastic! Even with the miserable 4 am rise to trek across the desert to Abu Simbel, staff were polite, attentive and helpful. Fresh Shai was always on hand and every request made was prom - David

We were here for one night on a tour group through Egypt. I found the hotel to be very well presented, staff very friendly and professional, and management extremely organised. A very personable place to stay. This is saying nothing of the scenery, watching the setting sun absolutely fantastic, and the river nile providing a fine sweeping view. Also the pool area was very clean and tidy and a fantastic place to relax in the afternoon sun. All up, this is a superb hotel to choose if you find your - Rafal
