Luxor Hotels

We stayed here with out four children for five nights at the end of October. We were really happy with this hotel. We had chosen two Standard Nile View rooms and were very pleased. They were on the 4th floor so we had an unbeatable view of the Nile and the Theban hills. Being on the Nile side meant we didn't hear any street or mosque noise at all. lovely hotel and grounds overlooking the nile,plenty of sunbeds and great service,all the restaurants were reasonably priced and it was nice eating in the courtyard.we found the shops good and at least no hassle in there! breakfast buffet is huge we loved it! we would return only niggle was our room which was the std city room could do with a bit refurbishment and tea/cofee making would have been a bonus! maybe upgrading would have been better? but only a minor point - Mina

Stayed at Iberotel for one week at the end of September with my husband. We booked through Thomas Cook and got this for a very good price. I have to say that I was initially disappointed with the room which was quite shabby and definitely in need of a refurb. However, we weren't planning on spending too much time in the room so not really a problem. We had a street facing room which needn't seem that noisy to us, and it was fun watching the caleche and taxi drivers who congregated across the roa - Susan

yes there is some refurbishment but it is not noticeable or will it ruin your stay,all the staff are very friendly and nothing is to much trouble. the hotel is very clean overall and the room we stayed in was excellent,it was on the front and if you had the door open at night(no need as they have great air con) then at 4am the mosques could wake you up and the veiw is no picture,but who wants to spend time in the room?. if you go out we found it best if you turn right just after the small supe - Jacqueline

As said on previous reviews, beautiful setting with polite, helpful and courteous staff. Fabulous views of the Nile and Valley of the Kings. Just far enough away from the centre of Luxor but very accessible by hotel shuttle bus/boat, or a private taxi. Grounds magnificent, pools superb, food generally of a good standard, restaurants clean and welcoming. We are really looking forward to revisiting Luxor and without doubt would stay again at this hotel-marvellous! - Joanne

After a terrible experience on our Nile River Cruise accomidations, the Swiss Inn was a welcomed refuge from our "storm". I cannot speak highly enough of the general managers, Mr Ahmed El Edel, attention. My daughter had not been feeling well and he had the staff prepare her a special tea which worked wonders! He made sure that we were comfortable and helped me to resolve some problems I was having with my credit card. The hotel itself is lovely with large, clean and very comfortable r - Lucas

This hotel was the second part of our Egyptian tour. We arrived on the night train from Cairo and were met by Samir straight off the train and taken to the hotel. The hotel is located in the heart of Luxor and is only a short walk from the Nile. The Hotel itself is beautiful, clean and has excellent food. All of the staff are very friendly and will do anything to help you, this even went as far as to take me to three different banks to get US Dollars a trip which took about an hour a lovely wa - Jean-marie
