We liked most the architecture, the subtle contemporary and not overwhelming design (hotel and junior suite room) in an old building with a lot of character suiting well the city. Very elegant refurbishment for this hotel (4 stars+ type) that just opened in Dec08. The central location is ideal (easy access to shops and visiting areas, quiet). - Th

The Savic Hotel could not be located in a better position, a two minute walk to the old town square and five minutes from the Charles Bridge. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was large and immaculate with good facilities - flat screen tv, coffee maker, good quality complimentary toiletries and good sized fridge.
... what people say » The bathroom fittings were of a high standard. - We based our decision to stay at the Savic on all the excellent feedback on this site. I have to emphasise we were not disappointed. Beautiful hotel, genuinely friendly staff. Nikola who checked us in at 12am was so lovely and kind. The way in which the rooms have been appointed with quality fixtures and fittings, decor and furniture is very impressive. The size of the rooms are very generous.

We really loved this hotel. The staff was wonderful! Compared to other hotels in Europe, it was a great value! We paid for a room with a view and boy did we have a view. We were dead even with the clock tower! It was great!!! And we did NOT wake up at all through the night due to noise. The temp of the room was very comfortable. It was a wo
... what people say » nderful experience. The staff was very helpful. - The staff were efficient, the room was beautiful. The view: spectacular! I highly reccomend! I booked this hotel on account of it's location in the old city centre and was surprized to find the hotel as admirable as the city itself, adding to our overall experience. I look forward to my return. A+

The hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It is located on a quiet street at the west end of the Charles Bridge with a park on the other end opposite the bridge. As other people posted, the location within the city could not be better. It is a 30 sec walk to the bridge and the location felt very safe and secure. Some have said it is hard

Staff welcomed us at 1:20am after late flight and helped us settle in with warm drinks and extra blankets.
We also had a super room for the 4 of us in eaves.
Location was also great, just next to Charles Bridge, but still quiet.

The charming hotel built in 1730 is extremely well located at the castle end of the famous Charles bridge just around the corner on a quiet side street. We had a huge 2 room suite with 2 fabulous king sized beds with luxurious linens, 9 foot ceilings with a frescoes ceiling in the living room and very old parquet floors throughout. The bathroom

The hotel is in a great location in Lesser Town, just over Charles Bridge. You can be at the Castle or the Old Town Square within 10-15 mins (walking). The building has character, original features nicely blended with modern facilities. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very cosy. Our room had a king size bed which was exceptionally comfortable. Local beer available straight from the tanks downstairs, food was available but we did not end up eating at the hotel. The bar/dining area seems t

After a weekend of alcoholic debauchery in Brno, my girlfriend and me had a last stop at Prague before leaving home. And really, this was such a difference compared to what we've experienced in Brno. The stop was the Golden Star hotel, a home from home with friendly personnel who helped us immediately. Not unlike what we experienced in Brno.

We liked the location of the hotel - just below the Castle. It looks like an old building but nicely renovated. Cosy and romantic, with a lot of wooden and "golden" details. The breakfast room has a beautiful view to the Old town. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, kettle and tea/coffee in the room...We would be happy to stay at Golden Star again.
