Housed in a Gothic and Renaissance building still showing parts of its origin back in 1319, the Savic hotel can be found right at the heart of the Golden City, close to the National Library and the Old Town Square. Surrounded by picturesque narrow cobbled alleys, the hotel is only 300 metres away from famous Charles Bridge and is also very close to all the other sights of Prague's Old Town, like the Old Town Square with the Astronomical Clock. All the rooms and bathrooms have been renovated just recently and are equipped with all modern amenities, but without altering the 14th-century looks with original wooden painted beams in some of the rooms. The entire hotel is fully air conditioned, offers a 24-h reception and multilingual, friendly staff to assist you at all times.

The Savic Hotel could not be located in a better position, a two minute walk to the old town square and five minutes from the Charles Bridge. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was large and immaculate with good facilities - flat screen tv, coffee maker, good quality complimentary toiletries and good sized fridge. The bathroom fittings were of a high standard. - Auriol

We based our decision to stay at the Savic on all the excellent feedback on this site. I have to emphasise we were not disappointed. Beautiful hotel, genuinely friendly staff. Nikola who checked us in at 12am was so lovely and kind. The way in which the rooms have been appointed with quality fixtures and fittings, decor and furniture is very impressive. The hotel staff were all very friendly from point of arrival to the time we left. A welcome drink on arrival was a great touch. The room was beyond expectation, a vast room with high ceilings and relaxing chairs......the en suite larger than some bedrooms! Quite an unassuming hotel from the outside, with excellent facilities on the inside. The hotel was well positioned. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. Our room, though in the 4th floor roof (with ancient low beams), was large, well-furnished, equipped, decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast - good choice and plentiful. The location of the hotel is close to all the major attractions in Prague.Everything is accessible with the Charles Bridge and Weceslas Square within a 10 minute walking distance. The staff were allways helpful and very friendly. The hotel itself is a beatiful building and even though it is modern it still retains all the qualities of the original building. - Michelle

Staff was very friendy and helpful. The hotel was very clean. The good thing about the location is that it is in the middle of everything. Of course, it can be a bit noisy late at night, but only if you leave the windows open like we did. We would not hesitate to stay there again. - Michael

Savic Hotel is surrounded by the most significant historical landmarks of Prague, like the Charles Bridge, the National Theatre and Wenceslas Square. Most of the famous museums and the grand National Theatre are all a 10- to 15-minute walk away. Shops for souvenirs can be found in the immediate surroundings and a few steps away you find the shopping street with various flagship stores.

Travelling information

From the airport by public transport:
- Take bus number 119 to Dejvicka metro station.
- Take the metro to Staroměstská station (Old Town square station) on the green line A.
- After getting off the metro use the escalators and follow signs to Kaprova street.
- Follow Kaprova, U radnice and Jilska streets to the hotel.

From the main railway station (Hlavní nádraží) by public transport:
- Red-line metro C to Museum station
- Switch to the green line metro A and ride 2 more stops to Staroměstská (Old Town square)
- Follow the instructions given above.
