We arrived around 2.30pm but had to wait 40 minutes to get checked-in. There weren't enough staff initially, then the computer system crashed. We accept that problems happen, but the reception staff handling these issues at the time were poor, showing no regard for the frustration of customers waiting to check-in. Happily, matters improved dramatically when the Customer Service Manager took charge, Ida helped us to settle in, a good listener, she did much to correct the situation. The rest of t.
all reviews » The location of the hotel is most desirable for travellers needing a transit stay in Toronto between flights. It operates a regular efficient airport shuttle service. The other commendable practice in this hotel is to respect guests' privacy, i.e. if one hangs a "Do not disturb" sign outside the door, the understanding is that the chambermaid will NOT knock on your door to insist a clean up (as is the case of many hotels). This is most important particularly if guests wish to "sleep over" un. Check in was very smooth. The facility was immaculate. My bed was made with fresh linens every morning (unless I was still in it of course). Location was a few steps away from public transportation and taxis were always close by. Not to mention the shuttle to/from the airport was prompt. 1-The Tour Gaide was good and he provides me with the information in needed also he booked some tours for me. 2-The staff in hotel restaurant were perfect either during the breakfast or when I had some lunch or dinner. 3-The hotel is good for business workshops or meeting training act. I was in town for a trade show. The shuttle service came directly to the hotel. I didn't need a vehicle, so the restaurant on property and the proximity of other restaurants was convenient. the hotel was in good shape. Fantastic staff and service. Should be asked for when you connect to the free Wi-Fi because it was frustrating to find out when you put the pass word in. hallway carpet smelled musty. False adv. We had to pay 15.00 for parking at a holiday Inn? Never have. There was no indoor pool sauna all under construction. Should of told us we would of went somewhere else. Front desk staff could use some costomer service training. Small bathroom. Green outdoor space (garden) limited. A bit soulless once you get outside. Little to do in the immediate vicinity (though I know this is an airport hotel so is naturally limited by its location. rooms need an update and didn't smell very nice. Noisy. Crowded No fridge. Fire Alarm went off at 1am and the staff was not around to help people out or apologize or anything. Rude front desk staff. Was not made aware of parking charge or how to pay. Rude staff when I asked about corperate rates for my company. Old Soren out property...needs complete Reno. No clean. everything.
