Central location, close to Vitosha Boulevard and with plenty of restaurants within easy reach. Rooms are well appointed and extremely spacious, confortable beds and with a beautiful bathroom. Staff were extremely helpful, assisting with questions and requests for taxi's, always polite. Breakfast buffet was good, totally continental with yoghurt, fruit, toast, cheese, ham and hot items, plus a variety of juices and hot drinks. Everything you needed for a pleasant stay.
all reviews » Location close to Vitosha boulevard is great. Hotel is in quiet side-street. Nice neighbourhood, many nice restaurants in the side-streets. Room was more four star: modern, clean and spacious. Loved the big bathroom and the big balcony (5th floor). Staff spoke english and acted very adequate. WIFI (free) was excellent. Taxi from airport about 13 lev (desk OK taxi). Location was great, it was close to the main pedestrian street "Vitosha" full of eateries and shops. Hotel was clean and cosy nice selection of food for breakfast compared to your typical european breakfast. Room was spacious, with sink, glasses,mugs. Also had a balcony!. The hotel's location, the room facilities, the amenities, the breakfast, the staff and the good value for money of the hotel is why we came here for 2nd time and came up to our expectations. Well done. the main shopping street is only a block away. breakfast is very good. the staff speak good English and were helpful. 5 minutes away on foot, you can find a free tour to the city, just ask the staff. The hotel is very well positioned , in the very centre of the town , close to shopping area and historical places .Room very large and excellent quality of decoration and also the bath luxuriant . No kettle, therefore no tea or coffee available. Because of the photo's I expected a kitchenette, but in this room there wasn't. No safe deposit box in the room. No waterboiler, so no possibility to make coffee/tea. No iron. Chairs aren't comfortable. wifi didn't work from time to time. in the room is facility for washing dishes and making coffee , but just theoretically , because there are no coffee/tea bags at the client disposal and no kettle for hot water .It would be very useful , especially for people ,like me , who likes to drink the coffe in the bed :). There is nothing to dislike First Class rooms and great staff. There are coffee cups and a mug in the room, but no kettle or facilities for making tea or coffee. It would have been nice to have been shown to my room when I checked in, rather than being handed the key at reception. One of the reasons I returned to Sofia Place was because the first time I stayed here there was an excellent breakfast buffet included. The breakfast is not nearly as good as it used to be; there was less food and what was available was cold. the sink hole in the shower box needs to be repaired.(room 203). furniture in my room can be improved, breakfeast buffet can be arranged nicer. The chairs in the room are very uncomfortable, and the TV shows only Bulgarian channels. nothing. Nothing to dislike. Breakfast selection can be improved. Not enough coffee and tea types. Double room has 2 single bed connected, not so comfortable. The garage elevator was very tight and if one is renting a larger vehicle it will not fit into it. In the morning we have been woken up by the sun because the curtain was too thin. Nothing. Wifi signal was weak on 3rd floor, bed matress was a bit soft. having tea and coffee fromthe vacum flask. Nothing special - the hotel is more than what is should be for money value. narrow streets with no space for the parking - not really suitable for a bigger cars - The hotel parking is underground and car-elevator must be used to get there. the coffee in the breakfast does not taste well. - no possibility to borrow an iron, the only possiblity is to pay the ironing service: a little bit too pricey if you only need to iron a shirt which was just folded in your luggage... Door of the room. If somebody is noisy outside, you can hear (and can't sleep). small issue with the heating. Bad mattress and pillow,stingy breakfast,small bathroom towel. garage is underground and it requires a little bit of maneuvering. a bit tricky the car parking process, but I understand there's no other options in such a central position in Sofia. Small parking. Never use taxi services in sofia, they are scammers, they listen english speaking people and charge whatever they want. The parking procedure was a little bit tricky. Nothing. Nothing.
