all reviews » Our stay was delightful! The owners are very friendly and helpful. Ourroom was very large with a kitchen area including a coffee maker, teamaker, refrigerator and dish washer. The shower was large with a "rain"style showerhead. They serve a hearty breakfast in their beautifulgarden. The hotel is conveniently located, just a few short steps toVitosha Blvd, the main street in the center of Sofia.The best value for money in Sofia - ever. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Big, spotless, modern bathroom. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, made us feel right at home. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a selection of coffee, milk, tea, cereal, bread and more.I'm a travel agent myself and I would totally recommend this hotel to any client staying in Sofia. The owner of the hotel was so friendly, that we felt like friends of his family - not as paying custumers. We stayed for five days. Everything was clean. The beds were in perfect condition. The first night we had a cosy, but tiny room and as a couple in love we were sad to have separate beds. We did not complain, but our host transferred us to a wonderful apartment the next day! Thankyou.The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and stayed up waiting forus when we were two hours later than we had said. The room was very nicefar far better than 2* standard with tv, complimentary water and amazingbathroom (massive shower) everything was clean and in order. The beer and wine we were informed was complementary as the tv in our room was not working. On departure the staff were on too happy to point us in the direction to shops and places of interest. The shower was a bit strange as it was a shower-room with shower and toilet together, but had good water pressure and was a reasonable compromise for the cheap price of the room. hallways into the rooms were not that clean so I was a bit worried until we got into our rooms which were really very nice.difficult to find, our cab from the train/bus station could not figure out where the street is -- it's ony one block long. No elevator, narrow stairs. Not always English speaking staff.The difficulty to find it especially using directions suppled by booking .com web site. all in all it was excellent value for money. When I arrived the gentleman only spoke Bulgarian but could not have been more friendly.No elevator. poor information how to find the hotel. One hates to complain, in light of the overall service, but the lady ofthe house speaks next to no English. However, she is good at signlanguage at breakfast, and eager to suggest an "omeleeeet", if the coldboiled egg or smoked sausage seem not to appeal. The husband (who wasthere to receive us) and the night staff can answer all other questions. The small twin rooms are very small but are very good value!. Some construction work going on. Small staircase (I reckon this will be renovated soon). Like everywhere in Bulgaria, smoking is allowed everywhere, hence some areas were particulary smokey.Half the hotel had recently suffered a fire, and thus not all facilities (breakfast corner) were available as originally advertised. However, the staff made up for it in friendliness, and the replacement breakfast offered nearby was absolutely more than enough in terms of quality and convenience.

The restaurant The House was opened in May 1991, at Verilla Str. – an old Sofia street in the central part of the capital.

The restaurant has 90 places in its interior, distributed in 6 halls on 2 floors and a summer garden with 60 places.
