Hostel Mostel Sofia is set in a renovated building from the 19th century, enjoying a quiet location in the centre of Sofia. A modern, common kitchen is at guests’ disposal. all reviews » Best hotel breakfast we've ever had! We stayed a couple of extra days because of the breakfast and free light dinner, both included in the (very budget-friendly) price! The receptionist was very welcoming and provided a detailed map and recommendations for activities, restaurants and sights. Guidebooks available for borrowing, and they really look after you! This place attracts great people as well- had a wonderful time here! Very good wifi connection as well. The staff are great. They will sit with you with a map of Sofia and point out places and restaurants that you can visit. The breakfast buffet is amazing for a hostel. We didn't have the free dinner but were told it was good and you get a free beer. We liked the free pool table, the chilled out atmosphere. We booked a private double and got to stay in an apartment close to the hostel which was pretty cool. We're definitely returning next year and staying longer. The staff at Hostel Mostel, Sofia was absolutely awesome! My friends and I were on holiday from Istanbul (where we live and work), but we encountered major travel problems with visa issues from Turkey. But, the people at Hostel Mostel were understanding and they called cabs for us to get us to embassies and they even let me hang out and use their internet when I had already checked out of the hostel. I felt incredibly comfortable there. My boyfriend and I stayed in a private room w shared bathroom in the apartment a few blocks from the main building. The walk was easy and the staff showed us the way and gave us great advice on places to go. The bathroom was beautiful, bedroom very large, and the living quarters were big and comfortable too. And everything was very clean. Lots of easy wifi access. LOVED our stay here. And of course the price was so cheap!!. The staff was really friendly and very helpful. We stayed in a private room a couple blocks away from the hostel, and it seemed a bit ill-equipped at the moment. I felt the hostel could have been cleaner, especially the bathrooms, but all in all, a really great place to stay. Nothing. there were just one shower for a 6 beds dorm and no enough toilets!. The only drawback is that the private rooms are 5minutes on foot away from the hostel and there is a tram line which can be a bit noisy for some travellers. If I was being picky (but only very picky) we were staying in a private room which was a bit of a walk from the main hostel and the wifi wasn't as good but that didn't spoil the experience at all! Room is quite cold despite of working batteries. - The private room which in second building is far away from main building (at least 5-10 mins on foot) - No hairdryer in second building (Receiption in main building only). no cark park. None. private rooms in other building than hostel (about 5min walk) so if you take breakfest in hostel You have to walk a little in the morning, privates rooms are near noisy street. Bed and blanket are not so good. Theroom was cold... if there is hair dryer will be much better, the location of private rooms are not at same building as common lodge. Too much noise from the traffic, noise during late night hours from other guests of the hostel, the room smelled like alcohol and cigarettes, not very clean toilet. Towels they provided are a bit small but you can get as many as you want. Only one power charger point in the room and one in the Toilet, it would be nice if we have one power point near each bed. Blankets were too thin and towels are quite small. Maybe a bit noisy due to the old building.
