I felt a welcome guest of the family rather than a customer. Leo & Leila went out of their way to make my stay as pleasant and accommodating as possible. The staff were so helpful and checked us in early, we had purchased a
room with executive level access (well worth it as there is an open bar

Everything in the hotel was superb. Of course it is a bit expensive, but you are really treated like you "own the place".
The staff is just perfect. The hotel is basically a beautiful old house, with a brazilian decoration of its finest taste, and a breathtaking view of the city. Rooms are clean and classy. Just remarkable. We highly recommend it

Our stay at the Ipanema Plaza was excellent. When we arrived tired (without luggage, lost by the airline) we were offered a room already at 0600 although we hadn't expected to check-in until 1400.
