Most of the staff at the reception speaks quite fluently English and are helpful. The hotel is simple but offer a good enough breakfast. The rooms have a good quality wifi and paid tv. Staff was very kind. They let us in the room although it were 7:00 in the morning (when we arrived from the flight). They even gave us breakfast when we arrived. Hotel had facilities exactly what we needed, and it is near Lapa part of Rio. -

Rooms were spartan but clean, bed was very comfortable (I like a hard bed), location is right downtown so you don't have to go far to get anything. Staff were as helpful as they could be despite a significant language barrier. Very good value for what I paid and would happily stay again. -

The staff was very helpful and did everything they could to make our stay pleasant. As dated as the decor was it was nice to have a spa bath and a sauna in the room. There are ongoing renovations at the hotel and it should be much nicer within 6 months. -
