  Marc and Sonja are a very friendly couple and nothing is too much trouble to make your stay enjoyable. We had a problem with our car during our stay and they helped us tremendously - making phone calls to garages, driving us to collect the car and lending us bikes to use. Given that it was also the begining of a two week holiday in Belgium and man... what people say » y places were closed we cannot thank them enough for their help and concern. The B&B is bright, clean and airy and you have the use of a fridge an - Sat nav co-ordinates worked perfect to reach B & B. I had informed of a very early arrival to Sonia, owner and if we could leave our bags and use a loo etc. She was brilliant and as the room was available she had got it ready as we arrived at 09 30 hrs. Mark* her husband spent quite some time with us to outline numerous places of interest concerned with WW1 fields and wrote down a detailed list of proposed sights to view. they were both very welcoming and made us feel easy to move around. D

  Accomadation was within easy walking distance from Ypres. We received a warm welcome and thought had been given to the 'little touches' to make our stay more comfortable. The room itself was really nice and although I am funny about sleeping in other peoples beds the accomadation was really clean and allowed for a good nights sleep regardless of m... what people say » y weird ways. Our stay ended with a really nice breakfast - good value for money and we would stay there again :) - Roger and Muriel welcomed us warmly into their home. We had a spacious room with a large comfy bed,a balcony and aircon. The cooked breakfast set you up for the day, the continental offered you so much choice. It was so interesting to meet others of various nationalities around the table at breakfast. Don't miss Roger's Battlefields trip..it was worth every penny. Free parking outside and a 5 minute walk to the centre. A little gem!

  We had a fantastic welcome. David was so friendly and extremely accommodating. He provided a complete breakfast and lots of information about the town and activities to to. The room was great. It comes with everything included, good shower, towels, soap breakfast table and tea and coffee. If you go to Ypres, stay here! It is everything you need ... what people say » and more! - Good size room with sitting area and table, tea/coffee making supplies. Large ensuite bathroom. Clean and simply decorated. Fresh breakfast delivered to the door. Owner pleasant and helpful. Two minutes walk from Menin Gate and free street parking. Good value for 65 euro a night.

  Lovely welcome from a host who could not have been more accommodating. Thanks to Benoit we were able to watch the Last Post ceremony from very close quarters. His help was very much appreciated. The apartment has unbelievable views of the Menin Gate. We were able to gaze out at it from sunrise to sunset. This and Benoit's enthusiam and position wi... what people say » thin the Last Post association mean that a stay at Menin Gate house is a holiday with a difference. The top (two) floors apartment is beautifully deco - We stayed at Menin Gate House for 4 nights and could not believe how amazing this place is, Benny meet us on the first night and gave us prime position during the Menin Gate service and it was something we will never forget. We ddid nearly all of the battlefields and memorials and they are all so handy from this location. The rooms are decorated in honour of our troops that paid the ultimate sacrifice and its people like Benny that will never let anyone forget. I can highly recommend this place
