Brussels Hotels

This was the 2nd time I'd stayed at The Metropole. I love the entrance/reception of this hotel, beautiful & impressive always. Well located for Grand Place etc, nearest metro is De Brouckere. Many restaurants/bars nearby. My room was very big with nice bathroom too. Collegues mentioned that the room were 'dated' by they are in keeping with the age of the hotel and bathrooms are very up to date. This isn't a 'boutique hotel' with swanky zen styley bedrooms, it's an old hotel with old ro - Derek

Stayed here on the last weekend of August. Fantastic hotel for the money and great location. Paid £53( some discount included) with Superbreak, for 3 nights bed and breakfast and was slightly apprehensive as to what to expect for the money but had no need to worry. Was a short 5 min walk to the Grand Place and about a 10 min walk to Gare Centrale. Room was great value. Not huge but very adequate and clean, and probably no smaller than other more expensive hotel rooms. Our other room was slightly - Debbie

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at this location. This time we stayed an additional night in order to be able to swing through Bruges on our way back to the Netherlands. Breakfast is included with your room, which is very rare in Europe, so that is a big plus. (and it was good) We'll typically skip breakfast since most places want to charge an additional €15-€25. Hardly going to spend that on a cup of coffee, a couple croissants and a bowl of fruit. Parking is next door in an - William

Great hotel, lovely big room, clean, everything you need is in it. Staff are great. The hotel has a free shuttle to nearby businesses. BUT BEWARE OF THE BREAKFAST PRICE (23 Euros) - It feels like a rip-off. Breakfast is standard, but it costs like the moon. This is the third time I've stayed here. I love the hotel. Looked after and managed nicely. Close to my busines meeting. I would love to stay here again, but the breakfast price will probably put me off - Robert

After booking I looked at reviews which were less than encouraging. I was pleasantly surprised to find the hotel far exceeded expectations. My daughter and I stayed 3 nights. The location was good - a longish walk into the tourist centre, but doable. The staff at reception were unfailingly helpful. They were happy to look after our luggage on the last day after check-out. The room was bright, clean, modern and the TV had an English channel - BBC1 - which was something at least. The price include - Jane

I had messed up the booking month for this hotel but this was quickly smoothed over and I was offered an very good weekend rate of Friday to Monday at 75 euros a night including car parking, breakfast and wifi. The friendly multilingual staff (French, English, German and Flemish) also helped us direct a Flemish speaking taxi driver by ringing the German speaking destination and sorting out the address. Super hotel in a nice quiet location 3 stops from the Eurostar and a pleasant walk to the historic city centre. Big rooms, well furnished will friendly employees. We booked directly through Eurostar and got a free upgrade when we arrived to the 10th floor where the rooms have terraces, having now stayed I would pay for it next time! I've lived in Brussels, but have sometimes been forced out of my home because of family coming to visit. At those times I've stayed at the Silken. This hotel is one of the best hotels I have ever visited. The location is great, the rooms are clean and modern (not huge, but moderate sized), the breakfast is lovely and the staff is great. This hotel is not too expensive for what you get for the price, and if you have the chance, you can talk to the front desk, and book with them. At certain times - Avis

Travelled to Brussels on Euro star and stayed at Le Plaza for 2 nights. This is a lovely hotel in a great location. The hotel staff are friendly and very efficient, and the rooms are great. We got a special deal in August and got breakfast included, which was lovely. Will however say that Euro 30.00 is very expensive ,if not included. The bed is the most confortable I have ever slept in, and also the bathromm lovely and spacious. Would recommed this hotel to anyone, and would stay there agai - James
