  This apartment is about as close to perfect as one can get. It is owned by an English couple who retired in the area. They were informative, helpful, and friendly from our very first communication. The apartment itself is immaculately clean and everything is excellent condition. Bad Ischl is a perfect location for exploring the entire lake district. There are many options for hiking, - 1. Mr. and Mrs. Herridge were two very friendly British people and can speak both English and German. They were helpful with our travelling plans and offered very good service. 2. The appartment was big, clean, well furnitured and warm in winter. 3. From the bedroom we had a very good sight of the Alps. 4. Covenient traffic: the Bahnhof is only 5 minutes away and trains connect Hallstatt and other beautiful towns. City centre is also very near where you have everything.

  Where to start???? There are so many great quality items that make this a wonderful place to stay, and great value for what you experience. Every staff member had a very pleasant personality. Cleanliness, decor and breakfast were exceptional. We stayed in the apartment with small kitchen option. Close to freeway, McD, and a Kabap take out. The layout and furniture was also very good, modern and comfortable. staff was very nice and friendly and the babies/kids facilities (baby cot, playground etc.) were very nice. The view from the windows was of nice nature and green hills. Located close to main roads, but anyway silent and peaceful. Shopping and cities easily reachable by car, within just a few minutes drive.

  We stayed two days in a very pleasant hotel. Room was huge, very comfortable and very clean. Nice restaurant for dinner & rich Breakfast buffet. Above all, the couple’s running the place are extremely nice as can be and would do anything possible to please & help. The owner “insists” helping planning the days with a lot of patients & k... what people say » nowledge. I really cannot think of any objections or criticism. We've enjoyed our stay at Bürglstein very much and would recommend it to everybody ag - Excellent service at the hotel made it a pleasant stay. Wolfgang even went out of his way to help us book tickets to the railway train & gave us recommendations on where to go on rainy days, which was much needed with a 2.5 yr old toddler in tow. Our room was very clean, cosy, modern and well-equipped. There was a good selection at that buffet breakfast as well as a big collection of toys in the children's corner which kept our toddler very happy.

  One of the best accommodations we have ever stayed at. The location is phenomenal with absolutely gorgeous views. The apartment was very comfortable, very clean and had all the necessary amenities and facilities. The owner (and her mother) were very friendly and helpful. We had 3 rooms and all rooms are very clean and well equipped for our kitchens. We were well taken care by the host with her good advice for the village musical event and the places around the area.   My wife, our four children and I stayed at Pension Wolfgangsee for four nights in July 2013 and really loved it. We were fortunate enough to have the two room apartment and it was the perfect size for our family. The owners were very nice and went out of their way to help us in any way they could.   The entire staff were super friendly - from the reception, the restaurant waiters, to the room keepers. We even had the lucky chance to meet the owner while he was playing the piano in the hotel den, and he was also super friendly. He even graciously invited us to his rehearsal. We particularly appreciated the restaurant reception (I can’t rememb... what people say » er her name!) who graciously heated up my 2-year old’s milk before breakfast hours even started. When my son missed his lunch at a restaurant in St. W - I stayed two nights at this hotel and couldn't have been more pleased. I stayed in a surprisingly large "single" room, with a "sideview" of the lake. The room was pleasant and supplied with all amenities, and I particularly enjoyed having a comfortable spot for my netbook; Their wifi connection was excellent.
