This is a fabulous place to stay. We received a warm welcome, the modern swimming pool/guest relaxation area is superb, the evening meal was enjoyed on the terrace and it was greatly appreciated having fluffy, new towels. Having read many reviews beforehand, it is known that the hotel itself is not in the Hallstatt downtown and does not have a lake view. However, it is strategically located: 1) very near the bus stop and downtown, yet without all the noise; 2) roads to the hotel are flat, no problems for people towing luggages; 3) has a carpark; 4) virtually beside the saltmine cable station and near a waterfall.
