- Great location, not in the central of the town but only 5-10 minutes walk with beautiful scene along the way. Peaceful location and free parking in front of the house. You don't have to carry your heavy luggage quite far or up the hill as in center of the town. - Clean and comfortable room with strong signal free WIFI - Nice hosts - Breakfast is included in the room rate and it is really good. Not many options but really in good taste. - Excellent 3-course dinner with only 10 euro! Reco.
all reviews » Having read many reviews beforehand, it is known that the hotel itself is not in the Hallstatt downtown and does not have a lake view. However, it is strategically located: 1) very near the bus stop and downtown, yet without all the noise; 2) roads to the hotel are flat, no problems for people towing luggages; 3) has a carpark; 4) virtually beside the saltmine cable station and near a waterfall. The room itself is spacious, simple and comfortable. Breakfast is continental style and dining exper. Great location, just 5 minutes walk from Hallstatt Lahn Bus Station. There is a supermarket just opposite the Bus Station too. Great room with Kettle, and nice mountain view. Room is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is fantastic. They do provide Dinner to the hotel guest. With just Euro 11, you can have soup, salad, dessert and a main course (Ours is either Fish or Pork). Taste very nice and must try. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful, they allow us to check-in earlier, and even helped . Had a wonderful stay here. It seems to be a family-run operation and the owners are lovely and helpful. The food at the hotel was fantastic and very affordable. Room was clean and had good-quality wi-fi. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk from the city centre but as Hallstatt is so tiny it's very doable and we could not at all complain about the hotel's location (especially not with its beautiful backyard mountain view!). The location is superb...a quick walk to the center of town, but far enough away to be very quiet. The view from our balcony was amazing, even in the rain, and the owner gave us excellent suggestions for hiking. We ate dinner here both nights, and would highly recommend it. The breakfast is very nice and there are so many choices. you can see the beautiful mountain from your window. The best part is: there are FREE bicycle to rent!! The staff was very nice to change me to a single room with lower rate, because I had selected a double-bed room for single person ( Booking did not show that the single room was actually available!). But why you need it? It's only 5 minutes walk to the lake and the hotel scene is also peacefully good. None. I'd prefer a slightly later check out time, but it wasn't really a problem. the only little disadvantage is that hotel is not beside the lake. None. Remark: Dinner in Hallstatt is a challenge, but that has nothing to do with this hotel. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. - A bit too far from the Hallstatt pier. However, the owner arranged the pick-up service for his guest which is very very nice. We also got a very good recommendation from the owner to take taxi to the train station instead of going to the pier which saves a lot of time and energy. We would like to be able to make a cup of tea in the room. No air con. No bar fridge in the room, although there was one in the hall that we used. The staff is not the much friendly but you still can talk with him. No air conditioner but it is not a Problem in a autumn and winter but I have no idea for summer. The single room turns out to be two separated beds in it. I've no problem with that but may be a bit small for some. N/A. Nothing. No negatives at all!. No kettle in the room. A double bed is made of two put together. a little far from the station but is okay and you can call the shuttle service from the hotel. A little pricey. N/A. Nothing! Just Sometimes Toilet's door was not locked!. nothing. Nothing.
