  My room is 306, the room is clean, tidy and pretty quiet too. I like it very much! The reception ladies are friendly and helpful. But only one person to serve in the evening time seems under pressure.   I loved my stay at the northern greenhouse. I was warmly greeted in reception when i arrived. I stayed in a clean, spacious 6 bed dorm with a kitchenette, fridge and ensuite. The outdoor seating area was friendly and relaxed without a party atmosphere which is exactly what I was looking for. There was great mix of people, had I known what a positive experience it would be I would still be there now! - Lockers in the rooms with sockets and a shelf to charge devices. Breakfast and WIFI included in the price. Great location, clean, nice relaxed hostel, lots of couches in the communal area, spacious dorm rooms. Very helpful staff. Best hostel I've been in so far!

  Our stay at the Friendly Hostel was fantastic. Gary was immediately helpful and attentive when he picked me and my girlfriend up from the bus station. Hostel: The hostel itself is nice and set up in a unique way -- the place is divided into separate units with a few rooms sharing their own bathroom, living room and kitchen.   Great location away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist strip of Cairns, but within walking distance to the esplanade, shops and restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff who recommended some nice tours. Clean premises and well planned layout with plenty of toilets, showers, kitchens and common areas to relax. Would definitely stay here agai... what people say » n. - We enjoyed our stay at Dreamtime Travellers rest, the guys at the reception were really helpful and they gave us a nice twin room close to the swimming pool, which was super clean and very homy. Considering Cairns's standards, this hostel raises up quite a bit! Friendly but still quiet, and just a 10 minutes stroll to downtown. Great! - I stayed here for one week, the staff are really helpful and friendly, when I arrival cairns, they pick me up from bus station immediately. the kitchen is amazing, you can get any stuff you want. the room is very clean and tidy, the bed and pillow is very soft. I stay here like staying at home. it's the best backpacker I have been to.

  Amazing place, really liked it there. Not in the town center (but only 5-10 minutes walk there) so it's quiet at night. Really friendly staff. Easy meet people there in the evening at the pool bar. - The staff was very friendly and helpful, it's awesome that you get free breakfast for that price.   Expensive for shared facilities and no WiFi, the owner has Internet installed but doesn't have WiFi for the guests as this would slow her internet down, HOW SELFISH - Host Fran was brilliant with information & made you feel right at home. Location close to everything.

  Awesome garden area with hamics, a bbq with tables and chairs etc. Huge guest kitchen with everything required should you wish to cook your own meals. Everything was very clean. Overall very reasonable for the price. - The grounds of the hostel are just beautiful. We arrived in the evening and the late checking service was well organised.

  Cleanest and most modern hostel I've ever stayed in. The place has clearly been renovated/upgraded recently and it's lovely. I was really impressed. The room ac had heat and cool, which is apparently rare in Australia where most ac usually only cools a room. The room was large, very clean, the shared bathroom down the hall, which is usually the wo... what people say » rst part of any hostel, was spotless. The restaurant was very well priced (eating out is always expensive in Oz) and the food was very good. - The service from Peter the manager was excellent. When we arrived there, my girlfriend was ill, he made a couple of phonecalls to doctors free of charge. When we got back at the hostel, he saw that my girlfriend was still not feeling better, so he upgraded our double room to a better room away from all the noise from the reception. Thanks a lot for this excellent service Peter and the rest of the staff!

  Great place. If you're looking for somewhere to party & have a laugh then this is the place. Stayed in a four bed room with an ensuite shower & toilet which were cleaned everyday. Staff were friendly & helpful along with the tour desk. The club though is brilliant!! Large & loud & does $10 meal/drink deal which was a life save... what people say » r. Would stay here again whenever in Cairns. - Stayed from 19.2.13 - 26.2.13 in room 417 and had an awesome stay. I went with 3 people from work in Brisbane as a get away. We hardly ended up leaving at all because everything was there. I'll be booking again soon. Very hard to fault! Thanks to all the Gilligan's team.

  Nice place to chill & hangout. Got hammocks neatly placed in the shade & a swimming pool in the sun. Free wifi in the common room & guests rooms. Staff are nice, friendly & have a laugh with all their guests. They organise something entertaining for every night. Room & bathroom/toilets were always clean & the kitchen area ... what people say » was always neat. - The hostel lays in the middle of the rainforest, this provides an amazing atmosphere. Due to numerous bus rides during the day to the city this remoteness is not a problem at all. Furthermore, the crew is really friendly and awesome!
