  My mom and I went to Cairns for a week holiday. We hoped to find a buget hotel during our stay. We found and booked this hostel through letsbookhotel.com for the first two nights, and decided that if it was not suitable we will change to another one. However, after arrival, we found it was really a lovely hotel. We lived in Room 71, and it was rea... what people say » lly nice one. Then we decided to continue to stay in this hotel for the rest of our journey in Cairns. Finally, we totally stayed seven nights there. - Fantastic hostel, spotlessly clean, all staff incredibly friendly and full of great advice - also great pool, kitchen, free WiFi in reception (hard to find in Cairns) lovely spot at end of esplanade, pleasant 5-10 min walk along esplanade to city and free dinner at backpacker pub! I stayed in dorm and private and found both comfortable and good value - fridge in both room types a bonus. When my boyfriend found it hard to walk due to a foot injury the hostel even provided some crutches - what am

  Cleanest and most modern hostel I've ever stayed in. The place has clearly been renovated/upgraded recently and it's lovely. I was really impressed. The room ac had heat and cool, which is apparently rare in Australia where most ac usually only cools a room. The room was large, very clean, the shared bathroom down the hall, which is usually the wo... what people say » rst part of any hostel, was spotless. The restaurant was very well priced (eating out is always expensive in Oz) and the food was very good. - The service from Peter the manager was excellent. When we arrived there, my girlfriend was ill, he made a couple of phonecalls to doctors free of charge. When we got back at the hostel, he saw that my girlfriend was still not feeling better, so he upgraded our double room to a better room away from all the noise from the reception. Thanks a lot for this excellent service Peter and the rest of the staff!

  My room is 306, the room is clean, tidy and pretty quiet too. I like it very much! The reception ladies are friendly and helpful. But only one person to serve in the evening time seems under pressure.   Great location away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist strip of Cairns, but within walking distance to the esplanade, shops and restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff who recommended some nice tours. Clean premises and well planned layout with plenty of toilets, showers, kitchens and common areas to relax. Would definitely stay here agai... what people say » n. - I stayed here for one week, the staff are really helpful and friendly, when I arrival cairns, they pick me up from bus station immediately. the kitchen is amazing, you can get any stuff you want. the room is very clean and tidy, the bed and pillow is very soft. I stay here like staying at home. it's the best backpacker I have been to. - We enjoyed our stay at Dreamtime Travellers rest, the guys at the reception were really helpful and they gave us a nice twin room close to the swimming pool, which was super clean and very homy. Considering Cairns's standards, this hostel raises up quite a bit! Friendly but still quiet, and just a 10 minutes stroll to downtown. Great!

  A very nice place to stay. For the price, you cannot get a better place than this. I will mention the things that I liked: 1. Its like a house, you have the chance of staying there, cook have your own thing, has microwave, stove, kettle, etc. 2. Its just about 10 min away from everything in Surfers Paradise and ffrom the nearest beach. 3. Bus stop... what people say » is about 5 min walking from it. 4. BWS is almost in front of it, so if you want to have some cheap drinks and get them to your room, this is the plac - Had a very pleasant stay low cost so we had money to spend very comforable beds , very nice staff n ppl around were very nice , very clean was suprised at how clean the shower n toilet was being it was shared but had no disappoint on anything being there I didnt want to leave 5 star rating all round and a big thankyou for sharing this experience with us

  Everything is close. The backpacker is more like a villa. Stayed in a double room, was very good and spacious. There's a calm bar inside. Left my bag there after check out without problem. - The hostel was very clean and spacious. We were on an 8 bed dorm and it was fantastic with great facilities.   Excellent and very helpful staff! There was something fun going on every night such as drinking games, reptile shows, cheap bbqs etc. The people and music is quite loud (which is fun, people are happy), but it gets quiet after midnight. Showers and toilets were clean. There is about a 20 min walk from the hostel to the city center but the hostel h... what people say » ave free shuttlebuses about once every hour. If I come back to cairns, I will stay here again! - just really good service and everyone there was really helpful. plus the place just has a great atmosphere and I dont usually like backpacker hostels so that is saying something.

  Very welcoming staff, nice facilities including kitchen, laundry, bar, pool.. The family room was very clean and comfortable. Although is a little far from downtown, they offer rides. Free wifi. - The quiz night was fun.. And it was the only day you can see more than 15 peaple in the public area
