Do not stay anywhere else!!
This is the perfection place to stay. Broadbeach is a real upmarket place with plenty of bars and restaurants. It is more low key and not as commercial as Surfers, which really suited us. Surfers is only a 30 minute walk along the beautiful beach. The staff at the Meriton are excellent. They helped with all our queries and booking trips and excursions. We had a superior ocean view room on 22nd floor. Excellent view but a bit windy so the balcony didn't get a lot of use. Apartment was excellent. Very clean, quiet and comfortable.
Staff were extremely helpful and attentive and sorted any minor problems we had.

The staff were great and very helpful and Kylie was especially wonderful and was the most charming of any of the front of house staff in the 4 various hotels we stayed in! The apartments (we stayed on two separate occasions in a matter of weeks) were spacious and modern with great in-house facilities and balconies with great views. Just loved to be together and relax and unwind have a drink and a great meal then see the show then went back to the beautiful room then in morning we had a sensational meal in the flames cafe. Coolangatta hasn't got the buzz of Surfers Paradise, but it's a
much more attractive place with wonderful walks in all directions. Ocean
Plaza is wonderfully located close to three wonderful patrolled beaches.
It was nice to be able to exit the complex straight into the Showcase
shops, which next year will feature a Woolworths supermarket right at
this doorstep.
