Loved everything but the bed. View was beautiful loved it could not get enough of it. Location was fantastic close to everything we needed. Was clean and tidy. The kitchen was fully equipped, knifes not sharp but we will remember to bring our own next time, yes next time we will be back have already been looking at availability for next year. We will be recommending ocean plaza to friends we may even bring some with us next time.
all reviews » Coolangatta hasn't got the buzz of Surfers Paradise, but it's a much more attractive place with wonderful walks in all directions. Ocean Plaza is wonderfully located close to three wonderful patrolled beaches. It was nice to be able to exit the complex straight into the Showcase shops, which next year will feature a Woolworths supermarket right at this doorstep. The hotel was in an excellent position, close to the beach, walking tracks, shopping and bars etc. We parked the car and didn't get in it again until we left for home. The view is amazing this was certainly the best view and position of any hotel I've stayed in. The bed was very comfortable. The room was beautiful as was the location. Perfect view of the beach and the shopping center was so helpful, as were the staff. I didn't catch her name, but the young girl at reception (with dyed red hair) was very friendly and helpful. As it was a special event (Coolie Rocks)Everthing about the stay was great , the location was spot on, right in the middle of the action. The ocean view was fantastic, the unit was clean and spacious and had modern features thru out. Excellent!!! Location outstanding. Everything in walking distance. Beach across the road. Our 2brm apartment was roomy, comfy and had everything we needed including an awesome ocean view. Can't wait to return!. The relaxing atmosphere and beautiful ocean views which refresh your well being. The security facilities made you fell very comfortable which made our stay very comfortable. The only thing we didn't like was the bed, would have loved a comfy bed. We ended up going out an buying a mattress topper after the second night as we were waking with a very sore back and very sleepy from bad nights sleep. I thought the lovely third floor pool should have been 2 degrees cooler, and the spa on the same level should have been 2 degrees hotter. That is my only complaint, if it is one. Room was a little dated but it really didn't matter as the view was amazing. The week went to quick. Having a firealarm at 12.30am but luckily a false alarm. Also in kitchen I feel salt/pepper/and more dishwasing soap should be more readily available.Realise its an apartment but just little things like above would be great. Couldn't fault a thing!. The bathrooms were slightly older and the onsuite a bit small, but not a major issue. I have no negative comments as was delighted by the Resort. nothing. Being a bit picky here but the TV in living area was cheap and nasty. Audio on TV was difficult to hear as it was very muffled. TV in bedroom much better. Nothing. That we had to leave and go back to work!. The very small bathroom, and, especially the small basin. Bathroom could do with an uplift. Lamp not working on arrival (quickly fixed). More loo paper. The kids room - two machines didn't work and ate up our money without returning it. The spa was a bit gritty/sandy. No real issues. the hoilday could off been longer. Staff at reception could have been more helpful re services they offer eg bookings for local attactions Payment to hire a highchair for a week $45 too expensive - should be part of rental. The bed was uncomfortable Old television in bedroom The apartment needs a paint looking old. No spa bath. Our room had been refurbished but the curtains were rotting and were covered in mould. Only 1 ceiling fan (in the master bedroom, looked like it had been in the wars) would have been good to have one in both rooms. Decor could be updated our room needed some maintenance but no major thing. Dull light in lounge Stained carpet in lounge Double bed instead of twin beds I asked for Bunk room so close to bathroom door that there was insufficient access for suitcase Door from bunkroom to corridor locked so guest could not exit except through bathroom Double bed on slats so widely spaced that slats could be felt and mattress sagged - most uncomfortable Noise directly overhead from jackhammer. We were on level 4 and it was very noisy from the pub below. Don't want to be below level 10 in future. Remote controls for anybof the tvs didn't function properly. Maintenance to do apartment tired in places. Games room tired - sauna machine looked a no go to us. poor selection of stations on cable. Bathrooms and Kitchen was a bit dated. nothing. our unit could have done with few dollars spent on the bathroom but overall good. The old bathrooms. The bed was so uncomfortable. There was no hair dryer in the ensuite - had to use one in main bathroom. No laundry when paid for one bedroom with facilities One towel each for six nights(with no laundry).
