  The location was excellent, the room (1 b/room appartment) was very clean and had every thing you would need away from home. Staff were friendly & helpful especially when there was a mix up with my booking, my room had been prepared. Good value for your money. Even the guests staying at Cascade were friendly.   I cant speak highly enough of this place. The owner Jeff is extremely friendly and helpful, just a genuinely nice guy. He booked all of our tours for us, gave us great advice and helped us with anything we needed. The day we went to the great barrier reef he even gave us a cooler bag with 4 bottles of water and beach towels. The apartment itself (... what people say » 2 bedrooms) was beautiful. It was really big and very comfortable. It was spotless and looked brand new. The pool was lovely too and we had a BBQ here - The accommodation was clean and comfortable and having the use of the washing machine was very useful for us. The owner Jeff was very helpful and especially so when we had a problem with one of the excursions we had booked. He sorted it out for us so we were able to enjoy our trip as planned. The apartments are located towards the quieter end of the Esplanade about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the main area, however there are one or two eateries locally plus a convenience store.   Very good location, beautiful view facing the inlet wharf. Quiet but very close to woolworth, restaurants and gift shops. The room was thougtfully set up with full kitchen equipments as well as basic condiments and utensiles. Free wifi. The room and towels were very clean. They are always helpful and responsive to any que - We stayed at the Jack & Newell for three nights in a 3 bed apartment in Nov 2013. The apartment was huge, modern décor, well cleaned and maintained. As well as the pool facilities. The property is located just a few streets over from the CBD, the pier, the marina and the casino! David the manager was a great guy and went out of his way to provide advise on tours etc to make our trip successful. Would certainly recommend this property to anyone considering staying in Cairns.

  The swim-out apartment was spacious and clean. The rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and laundry equipments were in good condition. This hotel/motel was very clean and well laid out (as good as a new building) with swimming pool, breakfast area with the option for a cooked meal - continental provided, spacious outdoor lounge and BBQ area. Three car hire firms a five minute walk away. We have already recommended this hote - Queen's Court had atmosphere. The areas for relaxing are plentiful, aesthetically pleasing and well designed. From the clean rooms equipped with TV, fridges, hair dryer, AC to the included breakfast, this hotel is very budget friendly. Although on a main thoroughfare our room was toward the back of the hotel and noise was not a problem. Exceptionally friendly staff concluded an excellent stay!
