Your staff,they are simply excellent. They are so very helpful, nothing is too much bother be it a simply enquiry or one that required some research and local information. Rooms are simply, clean & roomy, beds comfortable & everything in the room functioned. Good basic accommodation with amazingly friendly, helpful staff. location good, shopping centre close by as were very reasonably price restaurants. Tour operators picked up from door. We stayed on two separate nights and found every ting to our liking.
all reviews » The interconnected rooms are good for our family as the kids can run between the two rooms. The free Wi-Fi works perfectly for us. It is rarely found in Cairns hotel. The frontdesk staff is excellent. Rebecca the Receptionist very friendly and helpful. Clean, cool and relaxing. Short cab ride to places of interest. Excellent fish & chips and Indian restaurant down the road. Close to Airport. Lovely two staff I met who checked me in and out and served me at the happy hour, very friendly indeed! I was only on a stopover on my way to Townsville, but it was more than adequate for my needs. Location for airport. Accomodation for 3 adults. Friendliness of staff and their willingness to assist in locating and sending our mobile phone after we left it charging. This hotel was within reasonable distance from the airport, $20 by cab. We used it as an overnight to connect and it was very comfortable and the staff very friendly,. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Rebecca on reception made our stay a happy one, it would not have been the same without her. She added a star for all 8 of us. I was most impressed by Renee's friendly and helpful service she is an employee that should be recognised and rewarded. We stayed there on the 24th of January. Great location which made it easy to explore cairns. Large rooms provided at reasonable price. Clean and comfortable. Friendly, hardworking staff. Despite the effect the hotel staff made, it is still there during the night. We have to reduce the stay from 3 days to 1 night. The hotel refund us the rest of 2 night cost. Nothing in particular but I didn't notice that the "grill" part of the "Bar & Grill" did not operate during the "quiet" season when I booked online. Sarah was not particular helpful on our arrival and glad she was not on much while we were there as that changed the tone of our stay. Staff can make or break any deal. We found room 310 a bit noisy on the 2 nights we were there. Internal noises and street noise were quite loud. Room 211 was fine. No lifts to first and second floor. Location was noisy. Had a joining room we could near the people talk next door , and could even hear the tv channel. I did ask for a quiet room, and asked if they had lifts, no reply. No lift to upper storeys. N/A. It may seem little but lack of power points in the room to charge camera, phones ect. Location a bit far for walking to the sea shore. The only thing that I can comment on a negative point was the noise that the self closing bedroom doors had. Other than that I have no issues and would happily stay there again. The front security door could not be locked. No key. n/a. Unfortunately the restaraunt was closed during our visit and on a couple of occasions this would have been very helpful to have as the hotel was quite a way from the centre of Cairns. Allthough we found a nearby English pub to eat at. On the last night of my stay the night bell rang continuously and people were shouting. I could not sleep through the commotion. I departed from the City Sheridan at 0415. Tile and concrete floors make for noisy environments - and other guests coming and going can be noisy at times. My room was near a stairwell and overlooked the carpark. Not a big deal. N/A. Terrible pool. Nothing obvious to not like. had to lug cases up stairs, no elevator. access to 3rd floor with luggage was awkward. Hot water pipes noisy. Small ants all over the room A lot of hair in the bath from the previous guests. Hotel not very secure at night. Three nights in there, no problems. nothing. To pay at least $84 to go to green island and back through being forced to take the 20 minute glass bottum boat trip which is ripping tourists off. They should only have to do what they want to and I will be passing this around. No elevator. No Lift. Room is a little noisy facing the main road. no tenia ascensor. Minimal parking on site. No lift & externally needs clean down, paint and general maintenance. Internaly modernising and live entertainment . Advertised pay tv and room service but not available.
