A lovely retro-styled hotel,excellent location if you are flying out of the Gold Coast airport (the room fee includes a free airport transfer). Also very good when coming off a late night flight - there are always cheap supplies in the room (noodles, cup-a-soups, hot water jug), great if you are coming off a 1 am flight! As we were heading off to the airport early next morning this motel was ideally situated for us, being close to public transport from Brisbane and a few minutes walk from the airport.
Comfortable facilities, not extravagant, but more than adequate for travellers.
A tavern and a surf club are within easy walking distance for an evening meal.

This was my second time in the last few weeks staying at Golden Shores and like the first stay it did not disappoint. It's proximity to everything(beach, airport & some good restaurants) is excellent as well as spotless comfortable rooms. It is all that you need for a short, well priced stay.

It was a perfect to relax sitting out on our balcony looking over the pool and palms swaying.
Our one bedroom was perfect, very clean and everything if we wanted to cook a meal. The bed was nice and firm and the shower was very good.

The decor of our apartment had been updated so it was a very nice modern 3.5star. We had the bottom floor which was handy to the pool for the kids.
Staff very friendly. The size of the apartment was very good. The heated spa was awesome. It was not beachfront but still close to clubs and shops so we enjoyed the daily walk. -

Everything. Karen was wonderful. We are both gluten and dairy intolerant. She said that was not a problem and provided a fantastic breakfast for us. It is vey well located for anyone who likes to go to the Bowls Club or Twin Towns. The shopping centre is almost directly across the road and many restaurants are within walking distance. For families the ground floor rooms are ideal, as adults can see their children in the pool from their rooms. -

Motel is soo handy to everything you need. We walked to all.
Pool looked good but the weather stopped us using it.
