A lovely retro-styled hotel,excellent location if you are flying out of the Gold Coast airport (the room fee includes a free airport transfer). Also very good when coming off a late night flight - there are always cheap supplies in the room (noodles, cup-a-soups, hot water jug), great if you are coming off a 1 am flight! As we were heading off to the airport early next morning this motel was ideally situated for us, being close to public transport from Brisbane and a few minutes walk from the airport.
Comfortable facilities, not extravagant, but more than adequate for travellers.
A tavern and a surf club are within easy walking distance for an evening meal.

This was my second time in the last few weeks staying at Golden Shores and like the first stay it did not disappoint. It's proximity to everything(beach, airport & some good restaurants) is excellent as well as spotless comfortable rooms. It is all that you need for a short, well priced stay.

The lady that owns and runs this motel was fabulous. She called me on the morning that I was arriving to see if I needed to be picked up from the airport! Everything. Karen was wonderful. We are both gluten and dairy intolerant. She said that was not a problem and provided a fantastic breakfast for us. She directed us to where we wanted to go with attractions,shopping centres. Wish we could have stayed longer the unit was great modern impeccably clean . Everything you could want. Thank you.

Good location for most places in Coolangatta but also a quiet spot with a nice outlook over the park. While it is an older property, it is comfortably furnished and the staff are friendly and helpful. It is value for money. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Went to see a show at Twin Towns and decided to try this motel which is half the price of Outrigger and was excellent value for money. The bed was so comfortable (and I'm very fussy when it comes to beds) and the position just perfect. Will always book this motel from now on.Also much better views of the ocean than Outrigger Twin Towns. -

It is vey well located for anyone who likes to go to the Bowls Club or Twin Towns. The shopping centre is almost directly across the road and many restaurants are within walking distance. For families the ground floor rooms are ideal, as adults can see their children in the pool from their rooms. -

Motel is soo handy to everything you need. We walked to all.
