We had an apartment on the second floor of a four unit building. The small outside deck faced the fjord, which was nice. Free parking. The facility has a restaurant, with very average food and high prices (high prices are typical in Norway). There are two very good grocery stores in the town and we cooked two dinners in our apartment. This is a go

very friendly and thoughtful owner. we were nicely surprised when he upgrated us (without being asked) to a private apt from a motel room due to the fact the motel where we booked a room was crowdy and full of quite loud large group teenagers. He also exchanged our currency, gave us grat info/suggestions. The place is very clean and neat, with amazing location. Thank you

The cabins were private, view of the water was attractive, lake was beautiful, scenery beautiful. The kitchenette in the cabin had burners and refrigerator and had all the utensils needed including sharp knives and cutting boards and cheese plane. Canoe rental was good. Free showers in main building with plenty of hot water. -

Location right by the fjord, station and ferry dock. Quality of the accommodation is excellent, though being a hostel, it is quite basic. We had a great stay here: very friendly atmosphere and stuff, nice surrounding, all facilities in and outside of the room were excellent, clean and comfortable. In the territory even there was a kind of cafe with good food and reasonable prices. We felt like at home.

The hostel is currently closed for repairs due to bust pipes. The Info Desk at the train station directed us to the souveneir shop. The shop is run by the same people and a man kindly gave us a lift to the new accomodation in his van. The replacement accomodation was in a far better location close to the train station and ferry terminal, and was a

Great value for mone -
The location is excellent, just 3 mins walk to railway station and port. Monica is very kind and try to pick up us at railway station even we drive by ourself. The hostel do not have so many rooms and we shared a three room apartment with an Italian family. The room for our family is too small but Ok for a one night stay. It is better to stay in bigger room if you have an older child, however the price is quite reasonable. You can park your car free just in front of the hostel. The kitchen is f

We had an excellent large room with two panoramic windows and fjord view. The location is very convenient- just few meters from the ferry terminal (but still silent!) and very close to Balestrand. The location is excellent, just around the corner from Balestrand and 500m from the ferry. It is also a good base for lots of walks. We had the 3 course dinner at the hotels restaurant which was yummy but the best was the wonderful view while eating dinner. We could see dolphins in the fjord! Staff were friendly and helpful and the place was very clean.

The location is beautiful along one of the most amazing norwegian road. The owner and her little daughter speak perfect english (as everyone there) and they are really nice. The appartment is little, but clean and with all essential services.
