  We had an apartment on the second floor of a four unit building. The small outside deck faced the fjord, which was nice. Free parking. The facility has a restaurant, with very average food and high prices (high prices are typical in Norway). There are two very good grocery stores in the town and we cooked two dinners in our apartment. This is a go... wat mensen zeggen » od place to stay without having to spend a lot of money. - very friendly and thoughtful owner. we were nicely surprised when he upgrated us (without being asked) to a private apt from a motel room due to the fact the motel where we booked a room was crowdy and full of quite loud large group teenagers. He also exchanged our currency, gave us grat info/suggestions. The place is very clean and neat, with amazing location. Thank you

There is a well-equipped kitchen where you can prepare yor own food, or eat stuff bought from the Greenway take-away trailer that is just by reception. Surrounding scenery is magnificent.   The hostel is currently closed for repairs due to bust pipes. The Info Desk at the train station directed us to the souveneir shop. The shop is run by the same people and a man kindly gave us a lift to the new accomodation in his van. The replacement accomodation was in a far better location close to the train station and ferry terminal, and was a... wat mensen zeggen » n apartment with two bedrooms which we shared. The apartment had a great view from the loungeroom and was a fully equipped house. Great value for mone - The location is excellent, just 3 mins walk to railway station and port. Monica is very kind and try to pick up us at railway station even we drive by ourself. The hostel do not have so many rooms and we shared a three room apartment with an Italian family. The room for our family is too small but Ok for a one night stay. It is better to stay in bigger room if you have an older child, however the price is quite reasonable.   We had an excellent large room with two panoramic windows and fjord view. The location is very convenient- just few meters from the ferry terminal (but still silent!) and very close to Balestrand. The selection of food at breakfast might be wider, but it's typical for Norway, yet the quality was perfect. Very delicious fish at dinner.   Staying at Bjørgo Gard was definitely a unique experience that we would recommend to others. The initial drive up the mountain can be a bit intimidating at first because it is a steep and narrow road, but it is very well kept (paved from top to bottom) and offers several vantage points for spectacular views. When we reached Bjørgo Gar - The location is beautiful along one of the most amazing norwegian road. The owner and her little daughter speak perfect english (as everyone there) and they are really nice. The appartment is little, but clean and with all essential services.
