The location was excellent for visiting the medieval city. It is a
beautiful house which has been carefully and tastefully restored. The
owner (Bernard) was extremely friendly and helpful and recommended
several good restaurants for us as well as giving us directions. The
breakfast was very good and our apartment was superb with French windows
leading onto the well maintained garden. Rooms were spacious and very
clean. Although this accommodation is on a busy road, we found that we
were unaware

We had amazing time at B&B Dochavert. Location is perfect, only 10-minute walk to the old city and restaurants.
This is a very beautiful B&B, hosts are the nicest people. They met us with champagne and snacks. Gweni was very helpful, she recommended few great restaurants in Carcassonne along with other beautiful places to visit while we were in Languedoc.
The property is gorgeous with beautiful views of the castle and countryside. We had great breakfast with the most marvelous variety

Superb location and accommodation, the home made cakes for breakfast, plenty of advice given on what to see locally, flexibility and friendliness on booking in later than we'd planned, the free car parking very close by, we all had a lovely stay. We hope to return during one of Carcassonne's many festivals. -

Nice little B&B really close to the old city of Carcassonne and about a 10 minute walk over the bridge into the new town. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Breakfast was great and plenty of choice. Room was clean, well decorated and larger than expected. Owners very friendly too.

We had the benefit of the ground floor room which has a door into the
small courtyard garden which was perfect for a quiet glass of wine after

Excellent chambre d'hôte in the centre of La Cité Médievale de Carcassonne, a few steps from the ancient Basilica of St Nazaire and the old walls and gateways. Lovely spacious room with excellent, much needed air conditioning - the temperature during the day in the cité was mid-30s. This small private guest house was very comfortable and well placed a short stroll from the main attractions. The on street parking was ok as it's on a quiet side street. Myriam served us an excellent breakfast in the garden.
The guest's roof terrace offers great views across to the old Cite. There are hundreds of places to eat in the evening we found the Jardin d'ete excellent, great pizzas and a good ambiance within a walled garden just below the Cite walls

The owners Isabel and Nicolas were friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel very welcome and part of the family. The attention to detail was exceptional and the breakfasts were something else - everything was home made and delicious.

My wife and i stayed recently for a 2 night break to celebrate her 40th birthday. Having been dropped off nearby by the airport shuttle bus (5 euros) we found the B&B easily enough. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like we were old friends. Carole showed us the map & how to access the castle, pointing out 'must see' attractions, including the best restaurants. We were only a short walk from the castle & could see the it from our room but felt like we were right in the countryside, away from any hustle & bustle. Quiet location, hospitable hostess, roomy accomodation , lovely breakfasts. -
The Lady Proprietor was excellent - however the place is a B&B not a hotel and it is a large old Farmhouse, so accommodation was basic.
