The hotel was well designed and the situation could not have been better, sat above the beach at Mawgan Porth, with spectacular views. The facilities were good and the rooms comfortable & well appointed. The food in the restaurant was expensive but delicious. Spa treatments varied but, on the whole, were value for money. -

The whole friendly atmosphere was very reasurring and comforting. We enjoyed the company and the surroundings and ease of travelling to otehr centres and scenic spots. The food at The Beacon was superb, and I have to say the best scrambled eggs with mushrooms that we had any where in the UK while travelling. Delicious. Thank you so much for the pleasure of staying with you at the Beacon Country Hotel. When we come back to Cornwall, we will come and stay there again* -
Made to feel very special by our hosts and their family. Beautiful location and fabulous food. Easy access to both north and south coasts, plenty of parking and rooms very comfortable. Value for money, will return one day.

The service was superb and nothing was too much trouble.
For example -asked for warm milk for coffee on first morning and this choice was remembered each succeeding morning. Local walks were helpfully printed for us. Both my wife and myself remarked that there was no cooking smell at mealtimes. The room was spotlessly maintained each day and used tea and coffee sachets replaced with same. We ate twice in the restaurant, the first time being for our 50th wedding anniversary and enjoyed beautiful

Charming and unpretentious, I loved this hotel because it did not have the facilities or glamour of a boutique hotel but it had staff who cared , was very clean and comfortable and had a good old fashioned honesty about it which is so hard to find. Our friendly hosts provided clean, well equipped accommodations. From this location you can walk to restaurants, the harbour, town centre and National Maritime Museum. Pendennis Castle is a 5 minute drive away. The breakfast, provided for an additional charge, was excellent.

Lovely townhouse, beautifully decorated faithful to its period style. Such comfortable beds, luxury bedlinens and everything required for comfort in the room. The residents' sitting room is so comfortable and relaxing. Excellent breakfast. We stayed 2 nights in this lovely house, wish we'd had longer. A short walk into town on a quiet street. Highly recommended.
