  A very warm welcome when I arrived. Home made Lemon cake was a delicious treat after an 8 hour journey. Room was lovely and the bed was extremely big and comfortable with top quality bed linen.   This lovely little guest house is by far one of the best we have ever stayed in. From the friendly and helpful staff to the quality of the furnishings and even the detail of the furnishings, right down to the location. It was exceptionally clean and well presented. The owners are very helpful but not overbearing. The guest house itself is very modern, clean and comfortable. And the full English breakfast was very nice. Overall a great place to stay.   Location, 10 minute walk into town. Helpful and knowledgeable, Paul knows the area and has colleagues who can provide outdoor activities etc if required. Downstairs - I came to Penrith for a last minute festival participation and found Norcroft through this site. It is much better value than similar establishments, great breakfasts are made to order each morning and owner Paul bends over backwards to accommodate, he is truly a class act. (He will drive you wherever you need to go if he is available and at a much better rate than the local taxis.) The place is just off the downtown core and is spotless with nice modern bathrooms. I truly lucked out with this
