  Haad Yao beach was by far the best beach I visited on Koh Phangan, and the High Life Bungalows had an amazing view of it perched on top of the rocks at the south of the beach.   Excellent bungalow very much in beach front. We did take family bungalow because it was nearest from beach, allthough we traveled with two of us. But it was in good price range and absolutely worth that price! Restaurant had very good food (best in the beach) and BBQ every night (also, excellent food!). Wifi was working well enoug - We totally loved our stay here at haad salad, the staff are amazing especially the English chap who makes sure all runs smoothly and done all he could to help us there, before we went we read on the reviews how far away from haad rin it was, it didn't stop us booking there and I'm glad I ignored those reviews, we jumped a taxi bus for 150 baht to take us in and paid 200 to get back, we hired a scooter from haad salad villa and I strongly advice any traveler to do this also, at 200 a day it will

  We loved our stay, the bungalow itself was basic, but well maintained and very comfortable. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. The restaurant was great too.   The owners (Lise and her husband) were absolutely wonderful. They were accommodating, kind and called all the guests by their first names. The food was good, the beach was beautiful and quiet (with a very low tide in the morning, which made for great walks out in the sea). Also, there is complimentary pick up and drop off at the pier, which was a great plus! There is a shower you can us - This hotel was absolutely perfect. The bungalows are very clean, quite big and beautiful, surrounded by flowers and 50 meters from the beach. The Heaven bar is right on the beach, great for a sunset drink and beyond. The owner is lovely, friendly and really caring about the clients that stay in her hotel. The food is delicious and you can get a lot of different meals for cheap prices. All in all, perfect value hotel, well located and a quiet beach, with an excellent and competent staff.

  loved the staff, Mr and Mrs 'Owner' and the helpful bloke were all lovely. The setting was lovely, the correct number of loungers appearing on the beach in the shade every morning. We were upgraded as we were the only people there when we arrived. The food was very tasty and reasonable value, the pool was clean. Best of all to me though, having be... was die leute sagen » en travelling 10 months was the cats and dogs! I named 12 of the 22 cats, and 4 or 5 of them would come regularly for strokes. The dogs just 'guarded' - Staff were brilliant. A Thai couple who own it and a younger guy who seems to do all te running around. We stayed 4 nights for the full moon in the basic room and it was fine nice and clean and comfy. The pool and surroundings are amazing when you are lying by the pool you feel like you are in paradise with the palm trees and amazing beach in the background. Been travelling 3 weeks and this was by far our favourite place we stayed.
