  Definitely the location + the kindness of the lady who was taking care of the space. She is so friendly and so helpful. You kind of feel yourself sharing home with 'old friends' and not really in a hostel. I only stayed over for a night but it was enough to feel the spirit of the place.   I was impressed how the hostel can be made. Here you have everything you need: kitchen, laundry, cells for you things, Internet, useful information about city sights and free excursions, different events. Barcelona is pretty expensive city so that place is the best variant if you want open the Barcelona for yourself and spend little money.   This is a brand new hostel, you can literally smell the paint from the walls very nice and large common area it is located perfectly, very close to some famous Gaudi houses and Catalunya square. The hotel stuff was reasonable friendly, but it was enough, all our questions were answered. The place is just great, you could easily reach Sagrada Familia or la Rambla by foot.   Location was amazing. Starbucks across the street, shops, restaurants and Plaza Catalunya and Las Ramblas within walking distance. Equally close to the metro and sightseeing tour buses. Coming into the airport, I was able to get on the inexpensive Aerobus and get dropped off at Pl. Catalunya which made it even better when carrying my luggage. The wifi worke - This was my first time in a hostel & it was a good experience. Location was the best. Placa Catalunya is a good starting point to see the whole of Barcelona, links to the whole city from there. Next to La Rambla, supermarkets & several high st shops. Rooms were spacious, loved the plug socket, nightlight & privacy curtain. To save money I bought food from local supermarket & used the hostels kitchen facilities. Very useful under bed lockers, my belongings were always safe there.

  The staff was super helpful, attentive and always keen to offer suggestions on great places to see and eat. The hostel, which is one of my first, was super clean and for the most part quiet.
