  We have stayed in this hostel for two nights in late September. Absolute a value for money place to stay. Don't expect anything luxuary, it's plain and simple, exactly what you pay for. Rooms are clean and cleaned each day. Close to the Barcelona city center (approx. a 10 minute walk to the famous Ramblas), 10 minutes away from Montjuic) and just ... was die leute sagen » a minute away from the nearest subway station. Friendly staff, gave us some tips for restaurants to eat in the direct surroundings of the hotel and di - The hotel it is in walking distance off all the turistic attractions of Barcelona. I consider this aspect as the best feature of this hotel. The room was very clean, we had private bathroom and a balcony. On all the streets surrounding the hotel there are restaurants, bars and shops. The metro stop is at only 2 min walking distance. After chek-out they permitted us to use their luggage storage room for the entire day. Wi-Fi connection in the room was great.

  This place completely ticked all the boxes for me. It was a very tidy, extremely functional place with exactly the descriptions mentioned on the website. The toilet and showers were upto excellent standards. The staff spoke English and stored my luggage till evening. I was upgraded to a en-suite which was absolutely fine, quiet, clean and comfortable. Very good area with many shops, bars both cheap and expensive, very close to everthing and Metro round the corner if you are feeling lazy, plenty of buses. The area is lively but I would say safe.

  the hostel is in a minimal modern style, clean and comfortable. The room (most precisely a little apartment...) is big and soundproof (once the two great windows are closed).   I was staying for 3 noghts, and asked to not be woken up in the morning by the cleaner. I had my privacy, and got new towels every day while I was out. The staff at the reception was really friendly and polite! Very pationet when I asked for directiones:) I also like where the hotel is situated. Thanks for a good stay.   I like everything very much. The services is great. The rooms were allways clean (the towels changed every day) and confortable. The location of the hostal Oliveta is very convienent. Just couple minutes from metro station Parallel, also you can easily reach the old quarter, La Ramblas on foot. It will take 10-15 minutes to walk.   The location was fantastic, all the staff were really friendly and helpful, the hostal was very clean, beds and towels changed everyday. Security box in the room included at no extra cost and the security that you set your own combinatioon. Just a very suprising well run Hostal and value for money. Great stuff, especially a middle aged man on the reception, he gave us a city map, a metro map, explained how to get to the most popular turistic places and recommended some good restaurants.   I love this hotel. It seems that pension is ran by family and everyone are really friendly to help me with everything and they arrange me a very quiet room. This pension is very suitable for solo travellers who are looking for low-cost - The place is in a perfect location to go for a walk or to party around downtown of Barcelona. Nice and hospitality stuff, very friendly. Also valuable for the price and calm place if you need to rest or sleep after a great night or a long walk in the city. Highly recommend this hostel and will stay there for sure when I visit the city again.

  We were grateful that we did not have to share the accomadation as the bedrooms are very close, but we felt comfortable and warm, the whole apartment was very clean and a lady came in every day to change towels ect (you must ask as you have to pay 1Euro per towel).
