  Location is excellent: the center of old city. You need less than 5 minutes to go to Rambla (with metro station), port, Catalunia square. Appartments were clean (we took two bedroom appartments), kitchen had everything that we need. It's small, but large terrace has table that we used for our meals. But be prerared ;) - Perfect location in the middle of the Old Town, there are two subway stations nearby (Liceu, Jaume I) from which the whole city could be reached very quickly.   A shared kitchen allowed cooking own meals, staff spoke perfect english and was very helpful - they even made some calls to solve a problem that happened to us while visiting another hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful,our double room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with en suite including wall hair dryer and the option to have towels changed daily or to re-use. Breakfast was fine but the coffee was machine coffee, however the dining area leads on to the public restaurant/c - The location was wonderful. Had very close access to everything we wanted to do and see. You could have an inexpensive quick meal or sit down for a more elegant dining experience and all within a two minute walk. The staff was wonderfully helpful and competent. Santiago was a tremendous help to me when I was have some trouble with my airline. Everything is easily within walking distance. All in all it was a great location. We did have a room that did not face the street so we slept comfortably

  Location of the hostel is the best possible in Barcelona. Couple of steps and you are in the center of Gothic quater, couple of stations in the tube and you are at the clean sea beach. Staff is very friendly. The place is in the very center of Barcelona, next to Ajuntament de Barcelona (the City Council), near Cathedral de Barcelona, so only couple minutes to La Ramblas street or Barceloneta.

  The staff members went beyond the call of duty on more than one occasion to accommodate us and make our stay as pleasant as possible. Facilities are basic however for the money you would be hard pushed to find somewhere as good as this place. Also taking the location into consideration, I don't believe more facilities would benefit the hostal much... was die leute sagen » as it is situated so close to the city centre you will find yourself with so much to do on your doorstep you probably won't use the hostal for anythi - The Hostal is run by extreamly polite Indian gents and is in a perfect location for a city visit (only yards from the Ramblas). I saw reviews criticizing the wi-fi but I had a strong connection all holiday. We stayed in a double en-suite room and although basic, it was immaculatly clean, with beds made up each day and clean towels every 2 days. The bed was extreamly comfortable and there was always plenty of hot water in the shower. Great place to stay if you want a cheap holiday. ps. felt ver

  The Guys at the hostel were extremely friendly and helpful! We received a key to both the room and the front door, which made it easy for us to come and go as we pleased. The rooms are situated right in the middle of everything, close to both the harbour, La Rambla and right inside of the Gothic city. The hospitality and friendliness of the staff was worth a 5 star hotel, and even thoug - This was an awesome stay! The staff really care about what you're up to each day and that you're enjoying the city. In fact after I arrived and dropped off my bags and the gentleman working came running out and said 'where are you going today!' And he helped orientate me to the city awesome!!. The kitchen good facilities good internet cleans area shower and bath, thanks for your help when i lost my bags!!

  The hostel was very clean even though bathrooms are shared. Rooms were comfortable. Staff was friendly and helped us a lot. I could stay just two days and wanted to stay more but there was no empty room the location is perfect I went to barcelona by train and the hotel was very close to the train station it is also very close to the beach and barc... was die leute sagen » eloneta metro station. Next time I would like to stay more in the hostel. - The location is great and the double bed room was quite OK for the price we pay. The bathroom was comfortable. The building is quite old and a bit degraded but they arranged the hostel so that you don't get depressed. Don't expect to be at a Hilton, but if you want to save some money still being in one of the best part of the city this should be at the top side of your list.

  Pensio 2000 was a real find. Help yourself tea/coffee/cakes and water, all gratis. Even had lovely white dressing gowns provided. An international crossroad location with great mix of people too! No parking or lift but worth the effort. Great value for money but shame it rained! - Location of the hotel is excellent. Close to a metro station and in the middle of Las Ramblas and El Borne. In winter, el borne is a better place to be close rather than since la rambla. The staff has made really nice improvements and facilities in the hotel, that's nice. But some of the stuff like towels and sheets are really too old.

Hostel was clean and situation perfect, not in a bad area at all. You can watch the police men walk under your balcony in a quite busy street :) I will definitely stay here also the next time I´m in Barcelona!
