I saw reviews criticizing the wi-fi but I had a strong connection all holiday. We stayed in a double en-suite room and although basic, it was immaculatly clean, with beds made up each day and clean towels every 2 days.   I needed an economical place to stay for a 15 hour layover in Barcelona. I also wanted to be fairly close to everthing so I could take one last look before leaving Spain. The Pension Francia room was perfect: spacious and clean with good amenities at an excellent price. Not all of the personel speaks english - I think that's just also the charm, you're in Catalunya... not in England- but they are always very helpfull and friendly.
