  It was clear that the hotel was being upgraded and we were happy that our rooms were those already completed. The furnishings were new, carpet and bedding was new, and the rooms were very clean. There were quite a few guests at the hotel but it was quiet throughout the evening.   We did not book directly through Best Western so when we arrived, we discovered our room did not have a balcony but a patio instead. Told the management of our displeasure and they moved us to the 3rd floor the next day. We appreciated the accomodation. Once moved, we were very happy to have a private balcony.   We had to stay over in Detroit because of the weather and arrived late.The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed an exellent breakfast buffet with an omelet station. This is a very pleasant hotel. - The bed was very comfortable. I have a bad back and rarely get a good night's sleep, but I slept better than I do at home.

  We liked nearly everything about Mackinaw Beach and Bay Resort. A morning breakfast is provided, and it's good, but it needs a little variety. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are great and the view is amazing from your own private balcony.   very confortable bed and great big size. Nice big bathroom. we stayed because we were at a wedding nearby and the hotel organised a bus to come pick us up which was really nice - Quiet, clean rooms. Friendly staff and easy to get to.
