  I've stayed at Vdara before and I really enjoyed this trip too. First off, we checked in earlier than normal check-in and we got upgraded to a Corner King Suite which was huge, spacious!   The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was good when it stayed fully stocked, the employees seemed very nice, the price when we booked 7 months in advance was great but when we added a room 4 months later the price wasn't so great. Its close enough to the strip where you're there in a few minutes and far enough to where you feel like you're in Vegas away from Vegas, if that makes any sense.   My wife and I have found the Candlewood Suites a great chain. You will not be dissapointed with this Las Vegas Hotel. Ok it is not directly on the strip but its only 10 mins by foot which suited us. At night it was quite and it also has plenty of parking. The room was clean, comfortable and well furnished.   I was extremely wary after reading the negative reviews for this hotel but the price was right and as a college student the price was really what it came down to. I was pleasantly surprised when our suite was clean and spacious. I would recommend taking air freshener because the scent of cleaning agents was strong.
