It was reasonable accommodations for the price. Perfect location between the mountains and shopping. Woman at the desk, possibly the owner, was very pleasant and accommodating. The Red Fox Restaurant across the street was convenient and delicious. Air conditioner worked well and the setting and view of the river was peaceful. Alex took care of us very well. This is a family run establishment. The lodge is well located - close to Storyland and the Mt. Washington auto road. A small river flows behind the lodge and they light bon-fires. The beds were comfortable. I will return.
所有评语 » booked it at 10pm the nite before our stay, great location nice facilities, pool, picnic tables, fire pit. very nice peoples running the Inn. would stay there again. low keyed area quiet. Nice restaurant across the street. walkint distance. We will come back all the time to this beautiful place , they make you fill like family and will do their best effort to make you fill comfortable .The place is very clean inside or outside the room.Thank you and God bless you all. Loved it. Want to go back. Deck overlooking the river is the best feature. Perfect central location in the mountains. Great hospitality. The gentleman running the lodge was wonderful, friendly, very nice. We felt very welcome!. Rooms were super clean, and property very well maintained. Owners were friendly and helpful .Amazing site next to the river, very scenic, relaxing. Would not hesitate to go back there again .. Great value for your $. This hotel had a river behind it and awesome mountain views. Pool. Fire pit. Owners were very nice. Room was very clean, my husband is an exterminator and saw no signs of bed bugs or bugs in general/ huge plus!. The views out the front and back of the motel. The fact that you can take a dip in the river out back. The owners set up picnic tables and grills that people can use. There are things for kids to play with. The staff was great the gentleman that greeted us was a very nice man and my grandkids love him. Would go back again and we will when my second granddaughter turns two. The friendly and very helpful approach of the owner (Alex) and his family. Lots of local info and recommendations for eating and "leaf peeping". I liked everything about this place.The atmosphere and the extras that the owner put in.I especially like being able to look at the river. Such a welcoming place to stay! Staff is top notch! We had a great time and the kids loved it! Our girls especially loved the Ellis River!. I loved the convenience of the location to Story Land. I loved the stream in the back yard. I liked the yard with the pool and swing set. The people were awesome always there to help and the gentlman that ran thr place so so nice to us and my children would go ther.e again. We really only needed a place to rest our heads because we were up before dawn to see the sunrise on top of Mt Washington. I wouldn't want to stay longer than a day or two. The beds were very firm if that's what you like, bathroom needed the grout around tiles redone, TV only received a few channels. No cups in room and tv in room was small. No big deal !. Room is small and minimal. Can hear neighbors. The motel was so busy that the owners and staff were overwhelmed. The relatively high rate - but we did chose to visit on the most popular weekend of the season and were lucky to find such a comfortable room in Jackson at short notice. nothing. I did not like the bed I slept on, my 4 year old grandson even said the bed was like sleeping on bricks. (Hee, hee, hee). We only stayed for a two night stay and my back did ok. I could not stay longer than two nights though. We didn't like the internet with very low signal. They could use some upgrade to a faster service. The tv is very old. Not enough power sockets. Almost, everyone carries phones, eletrnic gadgets and have a place to charge batteries and electronic equipments. You can say that this place make it unique, but the reality we live in the new electronic world and still look for the same luxury, even when vacationing or in travel. Moreover, in business travel. Lot of road noise when traffic started. The place needs to improve in tv and apliances to bring more customers .A small investment will help. Paper thin walls between apartments gave a lack of privacy. There was no jacuzzi. nothing. A bit far away from main attraction....the Notch Train out of North Conway. Pillows had a mildew smell both nights, coffee not accessible, chintzy breakfast(bagels or bagels). No complaints about this facility!. Guest were very loud. Poor air inside the appt. Out dated. Had a suite in the front , was noisy with all the cars going by, a ceiling fan would have helped, no wi fi service. Bathroom was not the cleanest but overall not bad for the savings compared to other hotels in the area. This facility was aged but attempts have been made to maintain. The price is extremely high for such a dated inn. This was a retro-70's quality inn and $200 a night was way too much money. I understand it was Labour Day week end and prices were inflated but this is a $70-$80 a night lodge at best. Really inconsistent Wi-Fi Couldn't sind the office-not well marked Keurig coffe pot-but NO coffee Terrible curtains let light in Front desk only staffed by one guy - and I found the office locked several times The ONLY ice machine was located in the office which was often locked AND you have to tell the front desk guy you wanted ice so he would then turn it on to make ice--for the next day! No alarm clock Really small TV. Room was okay but not very clean especially the bathroom. There was a bad odor in the room. Beds need updating! No microwave. No hot tub. We arrived at 9pm and our room was not ready (Room 6). The photo of the room on the website is misleading,it looks alot newer, this motel and the rooms are in need of a major update. Rug is stained beyond cleaning, floor in bathroom lifted and stained from getting wet, mattress super stiff and old. You get what you pay for, hence low prices=certain clientele= sherriff and police there one day, don't know why, don't think they were waiting for a room. The place was outdated. The bed was so squeaky and the sheets and towels were so old, they should be used for rags! There was no shampoo or a hair dryer. The pool was dirty, rooms need to be updated and repaired. The sheets & towels were stained as was the rug. Beds very uncomfortable. It's an older hotel that needs some love & attention. Caulking used unsuccessfully as a plumbing solution-everywhere in the bathroom. Stained towels! No alarm clock in room. Musty smell. No staff at early check-out. Old 19" TV. Extension cords for lights and refridgerator. Inn keeper was extremely forward. Barged his way into the room with his granddaughter to tell us the phone was off the hook and then proceeded to disconnect stating that is what he would do if he had children. Also, when we tried to use phone, it would not allow us to call collect to our home. The balcony was old and in need of repair. Room doors were hollow interior doors that were also in need of repair. Would not return. The place smelled like moth balls. Dimly light hallways leaving to rooms. Staff not friendly. the place is run down, everything must be 50 years old, not that clean, staff was very unfriendly. Room is smelly, dirty carpet.
