  A real 5-star experience. The hotel excels at every opportunity. Staff are courteous and friendly. The building is amazing, the decor very pleasing. Our room was huge with everything we could need. So glad we chose to dine in the restaurant and relax after dinner in the Whisky Room where service and selection were excellent. York is a wonderful pla - The staff were friendly,helpful,and totally professional.We were mother,daughter and grandaughter coming together in grandaughters university town to celebrate my daughter's 50th.   We liked the nearness of the City but just out far enough to have a quiet feel. It was about 15 minutes from railway station so we were able to walk and it was about 20 minutes to centre of town. The staff were very nice, accommodation excellent and breakfast amazing, especially if you have a big appetite!!!!!! We were happy with this an - We thought the suite was beautiful. The bed was so, so comfortable and the layout of the room very much to our liking. The whole suite was "quality". The breakfast was immense and kept us going until early evening. The staff we met were very polite and very attentive. The area outside our suite was very nice but the weather wasn't conducive to sitting outside. I would recommend "Mount Royale" very highly! Convenient to the city and all its attractions.
