All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and hot options cooked to order. All the big attractions are within easy walking distance. The Guy Fawkes Inn is such a great place, the location is spot-on for a stay in York, the place is steeped in history and the rustic charm of the inn is amazing, you feel like you've travelled back in time once you step through the door, but in a good way :)

we chose tho stay here as we didn't want to be right in the middle of town. It' s a 25 minute walk to the Minster though there is a bus stop right outside if you want save your legs. The location was nice & quiet with hardly any traffic. The room was large, clean & comfy & there was plenty of nice food for breakfast. The hosts were friendly & helpful & were able to give us some really useful information. We will definitely stay there again when we return to york next year.
