  The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. It had the feel of a traditional seaside hotel, which I like. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was delicious. - We loved this hotel because breakfast is until 11:30 and we usually miss it

  The Gleneagles is one of the better hotels that I have stayed in recently. The ground floor double room with it's own rear entrance to (limited spaces) car parking was well worth the budget price. I found the staff/owner friendly and attentive and can happily recommend this hotel. - Central, yet peaceful, position in Southend.
