  The Gleneagles is one of the better hotels that I have stayed in recently. The ground floor double room with it's own rear entrance to (limited spaces) car parking was well worth the budget price. I found the staff/owner friendly and attentive and can happily recommend this hotel. - Central, yet peaceful, position in Southend. Clean room, friendly service, and a proper cooked breakfast served to you at your table, to set you up for the day.
