  Attended for a wedding and everything went smoothly, the staff were so warm and helpful. Food was brilliant and my partner who is a vegetarian forgot to let them know. However they accommodated her quickly and you wouldn't have ever known that they were not prepared for a veggie! The hotel itself was clean and the rooms large and well fitted. - This was a lovely place in the countryside--the grounds were incredibly beautiful. The staff was attentive and friendly and we felt very much at home. We thoroughly enjoyed the chef's inventive fare which rivaled meals we experienced at much pricier city hotels. We would definitely go back.

In the evening we enjoyed a delicous dinner in the garden cooked by June, and heare - Ian, host of the House of Mark, went above and beyond what was expected of him. He is extremely helpful in every way and a bright and witty conversationalist, though I don't think he would have tried to engage us if we hadn't been open to it. We didn't see much of his wife June, co-host, but we enjoyed the benefit of her wonderful cooking. They accommodated our unusually restrictive diet in every way with style and grace.

We were allowed to take a dog and were not banished to a room akin to a kennel as has happened in other hotels!   A warm welcome and friendly staff. Huge en-suite room which was both clean and extremely comfortable. Good choice of breakfast which was well cooked. Overall a lovely house with excellent facilities and in the most wonderful, quiet location.   the Claymore was a lovely hotel in a lovely position,a few minutes walk from town in a beautiful setting. the perfect place to explore the beautiful scenery surrounding Pitlochry. Welcoming staff and a really friendly place - Very nice hotel, clean and quiet, I would highly recommend it. Very pleasant staff.

Their motto says something like 'You arrive as a guest and you leave as a fr - A four night stay confirmed that this is a total gem and not to be overlooked. It is decorated tastefully throughout. The dining room was comfortable and breakfast offered a variety of tasty food to please (I had something different each day and my taste buds were well rewarded). I had the Small Room which lived up to its description but it offered facilities and comfort to a very satisfactory degree. The proprietor and staff were engaging and made my brief sojourn a pleasure.
